As one indication of management’s attention to customer service, the check-in location has moved three times in the last year or so with no update of signs accurately guiding guests to the registration desk. Despite Wyndham promising in responses to reviews such as this that they will pass on concerns to the management team, expect no improvements, and count on pressure to attend a sales presentation before being given a parking pass. I see little evidence that Wyndham management cares at all about the guest experience at this resort, and I question management’s competence. Upon my arrival, despite my having confirmed my reservation on their website, the clerk could only find my reservation for the same week in 2026. She supposedly had to “fix” my reservation. Despite my supposed VIP status and request for a third-floor room, she could only accommodate me on the second floor, hinting that the problem was because I had somehow not made my reservation properly, even though it has shown in my account since July. Despite Wyndham having my personal data that they use to ask me to spend money with them, the “concierge,” (read “sales lead generator), needed to “update” my information before she could give me a parking pass, although I had already checked in and received my room key.The parking pass is a joke because there are not enough parking spaces on the property, and guests have to compete with others in the area for street parking. To further confuse things, signs at the parking lot entrances say, “Do not Enter: Valet Parking Only,” but the rule is not enforced. Our room showed signs of recent updates and good cleaning, except there was a bag of trash under the sink, the sink faucet had a major malfunction, and there was no dishwasher detergent.A major waterline leak sent water down the road by our apartment for several days despite our having twice notified the resort. This is an example of the quality of management at this resort, which seems to survive because Napa draws visitors, not because the resort appreciates them.In summary, the rooms are mostly nice, and the resort is in a lovely location, but the guest experience falls far short of expectations.

Very Dissapointed after going every year for 10 years with my family
29 Nov 2025
I’ve been going to vino bello for 11 years. The last couple of years it’s really gone downhill. They put us in a room that was filthy dirty. We had to wait hours after checkin to get it cleaned. They are supposed to clean room every 4 days. Two years in a row they haven’t even though I’ve got 4 rooms for a week. Management doesn’t help or return calls. I called a day before this year to make sure it was cleaned and it wasn’t. We needed towels, to, dish towels etc. you can imagine with all the rooms and people. So very disappointed in the management. We are going to skip next year and hopefully they improve.

Terrible room. Rip-off rate.
08 Oct 2025
Terrible room that cost us $1800 for 3 nights though they did knock off $300 when I complained at check-out. Two couples with us and we all booked through different sites because we couldn't find THE hotel website. One paid $1500 and one $1300 for same room. Bathroom sink was THE SMALLEST I've seen in any hotel. Maybe two feet long, and couldn't more than a toothbrush and hairbrush. We had to move a chair into the room as photo shows. And, they said it had a dining table. It was very small with a microwave on it and it was pretty much useless. The patio had two chairs and no table. When I complained, they told us we overpaid by a lot and if we went to a 1.5 hour sales presentation we would be informed of a "secret" website we could book through for $200-$300 per night. This was a pitch for the Wyndham Vacation Club and we refused it. I filled out Wyndham's survey and gave them terrible marks, and they called me and said so sorry you had a bad experience and offered NOTHING else. Then they said the rooms are all owned by their Vacation Club members and they set the rates and decide which website to post them on. What a crock! I wouldn't stay here or any Wyndham property ever again.

A bad way to start a vacation
19 Sept 2025
Although Vino Bello Resort is a nice facility in a nice location, several things made our experiences less than we expect. The pressure to attend an "owner update" is a bad way to start a vacation, especially when the "reasons" to attend are not based in truth. Three times during our three-day stay, significant amounts of water loudly backed up into our bathtub -- which a staff member attempted to justify by saying the air conditioning condensate drains into the same line. She knows too little about plumbing to be offering such opinions. Our icemaker built up an iceberg in the freezer rather than making ice cubes that we could pick up and put into a glass. Our room did not have much view except for some lovely flowers. Other than these annoyances, we had some pleasant experiences in the over-priced Napa wine culture. It's not what it used to be!
