Overall solid stay

I was in town for a Hornets game. The room was pretty good for the price. Pleasant check in experience. The mattress wasn't great but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Great place to stay if you love marijuana the entire lobby and every floor I entered smelled like fresh marijuana.

The entire hotel smelled like fresh marijuana, not the burnt smell from smoking. It smelled like high grade pot on every floor. Additionally there was activity in the parking lot throughout all hours of the evening. People coming and going, people sitting in their cars We checked out before 4am had intended to stay for breakfast but didn’t feel comfortable.

Not worth the price
15 Jan 2026
This location was well below average. The people working there were rude and not helpful. The hotel carpets were stained and torn throughout the place. I had 2 rooms and both were not clean. When you walked in the smell was not pleasant. Both bathrooms had either a broken toilet, shower head, or faucet. The bedding in my room had cigarette burns. The breakfast food was limited. The coffee was bad. I don’t know how coffee can be that bad. Lastly, when entering the building, there were homeless people sitting near the front door. When we left for work the following morning, there were 2 homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk going to your truck. MAYURI THAKARE, Revenue Management at Comfort Suites University - Research Park, responded to this review Hello Djtodd72,Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety concerns you experienced, as this is certainly not the standard of service or comfort we aim to provide our guests.Your comments regarding room conditions and staff interactions have been shared with our management team for immediate action and property improvements.Sincerely,MaryGuest Relation Manager.
