  We stayed at this hotel on 5 May 2026. It was a hotel provided by an American Airlines Voucher due to a flight cancellation. The room was basic but in need of upgrade and repair. The bathroom toilet seat was broken, and certainly would have been obvious to a cleaning crew. The "Hot" breakfast was the worst I have seen in my travels.. And I have traveled extensively in the past 30 years. The dinning area trash container was overflowing, and some chairs needed repair. It's is very apparent that the owner/manager of this facility does the bare minimum to stay on the airlines list. This is not the 1st time I've had a flight cancel, and a voucher provided. However, this is the saddest hotel I have seen under the circumstances. Normally the hotels are very decent, and often the same hotels crews stay at. No crews were at this hotel, nor would they accept the condition. On a positive note. The shuttle driver that returned us to the airport, was happy, informative, polite, and made the return trip enjoyable.

  We only stayed here because United Airlines had a mechanical problem with our airplane and they needed to reschedule our flight. It was more of a motel than a hotel. Definitely not a place I would have chosen for a stay. We waited 1 1/2 hours for the shuttle. We almost missed it because there are not direct signs of where to wait for the multiple shuttles outside the airport. Check in was seamless. Not the cleanest place to stay but the Airport paid for us to have a place to lay our head. It was unfortunately not a great start to our out of country destination. Shuttle in the morning was seamless.   Came down 3 times for the breakfast, no coffee made, kept saying it was being made but no. All I wanted was coffee to start the day. 4 pieces of untrusted white bread was the whole breakfast bar. The room honesty wasn't the worst but far far far from the best. Overcharged, underperformed. Avoid at all cost. Sunny Mattathil, General Manager at Baymont by Wyndham Addison, responded to this review I am sorry but our breakfast starts at 6:30 and ends at 9:30 plus we have bread , eggs waffles , bagels and many more things and coffee we starts at 4:00 am and we do not overcharge, the amount has been charge the amount showed on the reservation.

  This place is awful! They gave us our room key, and when we went to the room there was a family already it in with their stuff everywhere. We had to go back and get a new room because they “messed up”. The service was horrible… I would not recommend this place to anyone.   WORST hotel stay ever. EVER.

  ZERO stars not an option, so I had to select one star. I can't imagine anyone would willingly or by choice stay at this property. American Airlines provided voucher for delayed/cancelled flight. Had I been aware of the condition/standard and location of the property, I would have chosen to sleep at the airport instead. It would have been cleaner at least. I'm guessing AA's contracted rate must be no more than $15 or $20/night. Waited ONE HOUR and 30 MINUTES (180 MINUTES) for the shuttle to arrive at 11:30 PM. This is after 15+ phone calls to request shuttle from 9:30 PM onwards. The property smelled disgusting. Attempts to camouflaged the odour with artificial room freshener only made it worse and gave me a headache.There was no hot water in the shower. Then was advised that hot water "may" be on the "cold" side and cold water may be on the "hot" side of faucet. If I ever find myself needing accommodation in ORD again, I will defintely refuse to be booked at the Baymont by Wyndham Addison.
