    Nothing good except location

    rating17 May 2026

The location of this hotel was perfect for what we can for, but everything else was subpar. The rooms were filthy, bathroom was filled with mold and the hairdryer threw sparks in my face. I will never stay at a Best Western again. The price was way to high for the product we received. We did not receive any instruction on how to connect to the wifi and there was no food service available. Luckily we were close to a cafe.

If you want “cheap”, stay here. If you’re looking for want nice, don’t stay here

    rating26 Apr 2026

I’m going to keep this simple, if you’re looking for an “affordable” option in the city, this will work, if you’re looking for a nice option, don’t stay here. Or at least not in the room I was in this past weekend (4/23-4/26). Yes, the room was small (we stayed in one with 2 doubles) but that wasn’t a deal breaker. The problems I had were as follows, 1. Beds were horribly lumpy and uncomfortable 2. Questionable bodily fluid mark on nightstand 3. Desk chair completely broken 4. Attempted patch job of ceiling above shower with clear opening and what appeared to be mold showing through 5. We were approached by a creepy guy at the restrooms in the vestibule between the hotel lobby and Paris Baguette.

My Stay In Chicago March 2026!!

    rating20 Mar 2026

I stayed here for my birthday trip, stayed for 5 nights and before heading to chicago i read the reviews for this hotel and made me rethink staying here… Honestly i had a good time and experience, check in was smooth and front desk was nice to me and my boyfriend, room was great for a “non fancy” hotel, there was some flaws here and there but for a hotel like this you expect that. The house keepers are really nice people one chatted with me and my boyfriend in the elevator and they cleaned the room everyday which is appreciated. There is a Paris Baguette down close to the lobby and loved that i could go and get some sweet treats to head to the room to enjoy and its also 10% off if you stay in the hotel. I have no complaints!! i would stay here again, is close to buses, trains and downtown it was perfect distance. im sorry for the people who had a bad experience here. The only reason why i dont put 5 stars is because people dont respect your sleep, my first night there around 3am loud music was playing and someone banging in someone’s door, it woke my boyfriend and I from our peaceful sleep but we wasn’t the only ones it was also the rooms close to us that open and tried to figure out what was going on and called cops, but everything was fine i believe so, from there my nights were good. Overall i give my stay a 8.5/10 !!! :)

Triple D. Damaged, Dirty, and Dangerous.

    rating15 Mar 2026

Stay away from this hotel. PERIOD. I rate this hotel with a Triple D. Damaged, Dirty, and Dangerous. If you get room 423, you better ask for a different one asap, though I'm not sure it'll help.Pro: centrally located spot in Chicago, everything is close by.Bad: booked the king size suite for 3 nights for about $1000 which we knew what we were getting into with it being St. Patrick's Day weekend and in a central location. It was supposed be a lowkey weekend that turned super stressful. The room was damaged, dirty and carpet reeked. When rinsing your mouth in sink water, it tastes off. And no, it wasn't just city tap. Makes you scared that you're in a Cecil Hotel situation. On night 2, the lamp burst and shocked my partner and took out the power in the room. I reported it to the front desk concierge, Issac, who was nonchalant and didn't act surprised at all. There was no apology or asking if we were ok. He simply called an engineer up and acted like we were bothering him for reporting this.We go back upstairs and the engineer had turned the power back on by that time. When he went to remove the lamp, it blew again and we had a firework show of sparks. He was super apologetic about our situation and remarked that it was super dangerous and was glad he didn't touch it when it sparked. Me too dude.I went back down to ask Issac to get in touch with management because this was just getting crazy. He stated that Oscar, the front desk manager, wouldn't be back in until the 8am in the morning. I asked him if he could take an incident report to document it and Issac said no. Dude....Next day, I go down at 8:12am and ask for Oscar. Oh he's not here yet. (I'll give him grace, maybe he's running late)I go back to check in later in the day to speak with Oscar. I explain the prior night, and damage to the room etc. and he says he understands. Doesn't do an incident report as I re-requested. Can't offer us another room because they are full. Only gives 1 night refund because the incident ONLY happened that one day even though the room was less than adequate and all other outlets were questionable.I don't book hotels often and didn't realize Best Westerns were independently owned franchises. My bad for not doing research, you're bad for operating a business poorly.
