Avoid unless you are going to sl*t someone out!!!

    rating30 Aug 2025

If you want to take someone to a place and sl*t them out, this is definitely the place for you. But if you are trying to find a decent place to stay go somewhere else other than Calumet Park. Going to the room, there was a big hole in the wall because the door letting you into the room has no door stop. So the handle of the door inside the room made a big dent. The carpet leading to the room was just outright nasty. Inside the room was just disgusting. It was so disgusting that I checked out of the room 5 hours after checking in. Yes I blew 150 bucks on this room and it is a lesson learned. But I hope anyone reading this will take what I'm saying to heart and avoid this place at all costs, unless like I said, you are sl*tting someone out General Manager, General Manager at Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay at Days Inn Calumet Park. Absolutely awful

    rating30 Jul 2025

When my girlfriend went to check in, she was harassed and catcalled from the front entrance by a group of men. There were also several homeless sleeping on the ground outside. She ultimately decided to leave when they started approaching my brand new vehicle. Hotel did not offer a refund. Absolutel joke of a property Guest Relations Manager, Other at Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park, responded to this review Dear averyc292, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Most amenities not included. Smoke-free building with rooms filled with cigarette smoke. Many items in room broken.

    rating25 May 2025

My room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite this being a smoke-free building. The fan was not left on to air out the room. This irritated my throat and triggered my asthma. The desk lamp had no lightbulb which was needed for studying. Two wall-mounted bedside lamps were broken. The TV did not turn on.No coffee/tea maker was on the room or hot beverage cups. There was no alarm clock in the room. The furniture was falling apart. Parts of a drawer were missing and others completely fell out when opening them. The landline phone did not work. There was no free breakfast.I requested late check-out at 1pm but housekeeping still tried to walk into my room at 11am.Clearly I will never be back or recommend this place to anyone. Guest Relations Manager, Other at Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park, responded to this review Hi Jane S, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I want to begin by offering my sincerest apologies for the number of issues you encountered during your stay. What you described is not the experience we aim to provide, and I’m truly sorry we fell short.Your comments about the strong odor of cigarette smoke in a smoke-free room are especially concerning, and I understand how that could be not only unpleasant but also harmful, particularly with asthma involved. Ensuring our rooms are properly cleaned and ventilated before guest arrival is a basic expectation, and it’s clear we missed the mark in your case. The maintenance issues you noted from broken lamps and furniture to the non-functioning phone and television are unacceptable. Our rooms should be in good working order, and we regret that this was not your experience. I’ve already shared your feedback with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so we can thoroughly inspect and address these concerns immediately.I'm also very sorry that your request for late check-out was not respected. We understand how frustrating it must have been to have your privacy disrupted, and we’ll be reinforcing proper communication procedures with our staff to ensure this does not happen again.Regarding amenities, we understand how disappointing it must have been to find items such as a coffee maker, alarm clock, or basic beverage options missing. We are currently addressing our in-room offerings and working toward more consistency to better meet our guests’ expectations. We know we have work to do, and your detailed feedback is invaluable as we make improvements. While we regret that your experience led you to not want to return, we do hope you’ll give us the opportunity in the future to provide the kind of stay you deserved from the start.

    Absolutely disgusting hotel

    rating23 Oct 2024

The hotel was absolutely disgusting! From the horrible smell that the room had to the urine on the walls, stained sheets that were also filled with cigarette burns, yellow stained pillow, dirty night stand, a non existent fire alarm that had wires sticking out of where the fire alarm is supposed to be connected... It was overall a horrible room. I checked in, waited for my husband to arrive at the hotel, when he saw the conditions of the room he immediately agreed that we would not stay and booked a room at a Hilton property. We then went to the front desk to complain about the state of the room and ask for a refund. The front desk refused to refund us per his supervisor and we were told that we had to call customer service, which was equally unhelpful. The told us that we had to talk to the front desk.. I am in utter shock this is a Wyndham property! Guest Relations Manager, Other at Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park, responded to this review Dear valC2233IC, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the distressing experience you encountered, as this is not the level of service or cleanliness we aim to provide. Please know that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities, and we will be addressing the issues you've mentioned with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure they are rectified immediately.Regarding your interaction with our front desk and customer service, I apologize for the inconvenience caused during the refund process. Your feedback is valuable in helping us improve both our communication and support procedures. We are actively working to ensure that future guests do not face similar challenges. We hope to have another opportunity to provide you with a better experience.

    Never stay here

    rating15 Oct 2024

It was dirty. Pillow had stains. No handle on shower. No batteries in remote. The vending machine ate my $1. The smoke alarm kept beeping throughout the night. At check in the rep was on the phone while checking me in. I am an extrovert so I do not have the conversational personality. So I just dealt with it. But I want to make sure others do not. Guest Relations Manager, Other at Days Inn by Wyndham Calumet Park, responded to this review Dear Lori M, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I sincerely apologize for the numerous issues you encountered during your stay. Cleanliness and comfort are top priorities, and it’s disappointing to hear that we fell short in those areas, especially with the stained pillow and the shower handle.I’m also sorry for the inconvenience caused by the remote and the vending machine, as well as the smoke alarm disturbance. Your experience at check-in is not reflective of our service standards, and we will address this with our team to ensure all guests feel valued and attended to.We appreciate your honesty, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide you with a much better experience.
