  Inappropriate Lobby Television Content

  Unfortunately a very concerning incident occurred at the Holiday Inn Express in Lake Zurich during my stay. We were staying at the hotel with a group of 6 young girls ranging 10-13. While we were waiting in the lobby, the girls saw on the lobby television three adult naked women. The program showed the three naked women facing forward standing up right with a full view of their naked bodies. The image remained on the screen for at least 10 seconds four times during the 5 minutes before the issue was addressed. I noticed it when the girls informed me that there was something disturbing on the screen.I immediately informed the cleaning staff that was nearby and asked them to change the channel. They couldn't find the remote. They notified the manager on duty. The cleaning lady turned off the television manually while the other staff continued to search for the remote.For many hours after the event, my daughter kept bringing up how distressed she was to be exposed to those images on the screen. I sincerely hope that the hotel adopts a policy regarding which channels can be shown on the lobby TV. Those channels should contain only G rated content. Especially since children stay at the hotel.The office staff did not apologize about the incident or appear concerned that it had happened. Once the cleaning lady turned off the TV, the other staff just went back to work without a word of apology. Later I overheard the other staff laugh about the incident together.   Very friendly staff - front desk, breakfast lady, & manager. Comfortable bed. I liked the chair in the room with the extension you can put your legs on. Clean room and hotel. Good breakfast - panacke machine, SF syrup, oatmeal packets, Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, Special K with Red Berries, bananas, oranges, apples, egg white veggie omlets, scrambles eggs, biscuits and gravy, pork sausage, turkey sausage, muffins, bagels, toast, cinnamon rolls, Oikos yogurt.

  Unexpected comfort for the value...the 2 queen bed room was spacious comfortable and quiet. The bedding as good as any 5 star hotels in Vegas with firm mattress, cozy soft pillows, silky sheets and fluffy duvets. There were enough table spaces for luggages, iPad, phones, etc. Lots of outlets and charging stations. There's a large fridge,full size microwave and single cup Kuerig coffee maker. The bathroom is clean and upgraded with heated well lite mirror, a safety shower handle and quality Dove shower soap and lotion. The complimentary breakfast is as good as it gets get ( a automatic pancake maker but would rather have a waffle maker instead). The front staff attentive and very pleasant (Rami).The only negatives are low pressure flushing toilet and firm toilet paper.But overall, a great place to stay and value for the money!! Best IGH Holiday Inn we've stayed so far!Btw...lots of good eateries within minutes of hotel.

  I took a motorcoach group here. Facility was clean and well kept, staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Very accommodating! The facility is located close to a few eateries that are within walking distance.
