No care, no concern, no customer service

    rating28 Mar 2026

Booked a room through Expedia & due to an unexpected change, asked to cancel within the timeframe Expedia stated. Told that the full amount had been charged, the reservation is non-refundable. Went back to look at original email, as we made sure it was when booking. Understandably, this was not necessarily the hotel's fault. However, everything that has happened since has really advertised the nature of this location. Expedia stated that Homewood had charged the card, but they would contact them to get the matter resolved. According to them, they made several attempts over a 24-hour timeframe, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. I am currently on hold with this location & have been for almost 40 minutes. As soon as the front desk person looked up the reservation, she placed me on hold with a short, rude "hold on" ... not sure if she plans to ever pick back up. I wasn't calling to beg for the almost $500 back, as we assumed that would be a lost cause. I was hoping to ask to rebook & make the best of the trip, using the money the hotel already has as a credit towards it. I'm very much getting a vibe that we're just viewed as another reservation # & a quick, easy $500. No care or concern about doing anything but the minimum. ***Will update review with results ***

New and clean with great amenities and location

    rating14 Feb 2026

This is a lovely hotel with tons of amenities in a perfect Chicago Loop location. We stayed for a weekend in February 2026 to visit the museums. Everyone had cabin fever, so a quick trip to Chicago and swimming at the pool were a nice change of pace. If the weather had been warmer, we could have walked to the museum campus, but it was a bit too cold for that. Even so, we were just a short walk away from Lou Malnati's and the Eleven City Diner (so cute and good). Even in 20 degrees, we could comfortably walk to both places. We also tried the hotel restaurant, Leiya, which was good but not great, but convenient with a lot of kid-friendly options, though no kids menu. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Everything feels new and clean. I believe every room is a suite with a pull out sofa bed and small kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. The hotel offers a ton of communal amenities, like coin laundry (thanks to car sickness, we needed that right away and were really grateful to have this!), a gym, a beautiful breakfast room with views of the lake, and a nice pool. the breakfast room is accessible with your key card all day long and has comfortable seating and TVs plus all day coffee, tea, and hot chocolate if you need a break. The staff could not have been nicer. We kept having weather issues, even rescheduling our trip, and calling the hotel with questions. They were always courteous and accommodating, making sure we had adjoining rooms. Thank you, Alexis, for all your help!Cons: - This hotel was sold out in early February, which surprised me because I was expecting it to be relatively empty in the off season. I guess that's a sign of a good hotel :)- One of only two elevators was down the entire weekend and the stairs are locked from floor to floor (presumably a safety requirement) so we couldn't walk to get to breakfast or the pool. With every room sold, moving around was tough. I never saw anyone attempt to fix the elevator, so I don't know how long this will continue to be an issue. - The L is close (great if you plan to use it) but we could hear it from our room at night and it woke me up a few times. Earplugs would have solved this problem, but I didn't bring them on this trip. - Free breakfast is always a nice touch, but some odd choices were made on this breakfast buffet. For the two days I was there, there was never any standard choices like scrambled eggs, bacon, or sausage. Instead, we had western omelets, frittatas, pulled pork, and smoked sausage. I don't mind unique options, but the kids were not impressed. Even so, the non-hot options were standard (fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, cereal, pastries, etc.), so we found stuff to eat. - The pool was overcrowded. I guess I am used to a fairly empty indoor hotel pool, but obviously a lot of families were also dealing with cabin fever and what kid can resist a swim? The pool was so heavily chlorinated that it affected me just sitting in the pool room. Even so, I could not get my kids out of the water, so it was worth the trouble. Overall, a this is a really solid hotel! I am glad we found it and would happily stay again.

    Incredible stay

    rating23 Jan 2026

My girlfriend and I stayed at this wonderful hotel from January 18th thru the 21st and had just a nonstop incredible experience. Corner suite, pitch perfect views of the lake, museums, and skyscrapers. Every single staff member we encountered throughout the hotel was incredibly kind, gracious, humourous, and helpful. Amenities were perfect, pricing was just right, food was great, pool was so much fun at night, location is insanely good, and valet parking was superb. I'd rate the experience 1,000,000 out of 10. We will be returning in the spring, it was that great of a mini vacation in Chicago and at this hotel.

Excellent All Suite Hotel, Great Location!

    rating21 Jan 2026

Awesome hotel in the heart of Chicago. We were in the city to visit our son, who lives in Chicago, and to attend the Bruins/Blackhawks game at the United Center. The room allowed us to spread out during our 4-night stay. The view from the 17th-floor room was spectacular. The staff was wonderful in every way. We highly recommend this hotel
