  I stayed at this hotel because it was close to someone I was visiting. The lobby is nice and modern but the hotel is under construction. The elevator did not work so I had to be escorted up and down on the service elevator, which I found to be kind of fun. They are doing construction so expect noise during business hours. The reason for the poor rating was because of the poor condition of the room, this can be better once renovated. I was upgraded to a king room but the bed took most of the room. The bathroom was in poor condition and tiny. The size of the sink was tiny and it was ok on cleanliness. The towels were rough as well. I heard noises in the hallway but slept ok. There is no breakfast at this time, no coffee in the lobby and restaurant is under construction the signage says. Once construction is completed the rooms might be different.

  The hotel is under construction and very noisy starting around 7:00 AM. Elevator is not functioning so get use to the stairs.Might be a beautiful place normally but not now!

  The first problem was when we arrived. There is a skinny little lane to park and unload on a busy street. It was dangerous to get out of the car on the driver's side! The bright spot in this was the desk clerk Adrian. He was friendly and accommodating, and he is the reason for a better star rating. The elevator was small and singular. Half of the buttons don't light up anymore - poor maintenance - and we were not sure if we were going to our floor. The room was spacious, but unwelcoming. The bathrooms are old and need refurbishing. No fan in the bathroom, just a window. In 15 degree weather, not a good option. The coffee maker is a beat up espresso machine that doesn't work well. They of course had mostly decaf. The cups are just Dixie cups from the grocery store and don't even fit into the machine. What a waste! I wanted to like this hotel, but too many cheap and run-down features make it too meh. Come on Hilton, you can do a lot better!   First, hotel staff were terrific. Second, location was great. Sadly the room was awful. Very clean but way outdated.

  Hotel staff - great. Location - great Room itself, clean but awful. Bathroom worn out (and dripping bathtub faucet), and too small to put a toiletry bag anywhere other the floor. And the walls are thin.   Great staff and vibe

  Spent a few nights here a while back and the people were lovely and nice. I liked the vibe. Fast forward to now and I accidentally booked this hotel online through Hotwire and was getting the runaround from Hotwire. Called the hotel, explained the situation and humanity was restored. Everyone was so nice and helpful in resolving the issue. Next time I’m in Chicago, I will certainly be booking directly with them again as customer service and empathy are the most important factors in where I stay.
