    Great location in the windy city!

    This hotel is in a great location to visit the parks near the water. It is close to public transit and is in a safe location. We were happy with the accommodations. They had daily breakfast that changed day to day, and the staff was responsive to our needs. Parking was less than a block away and was clean and safe. Would stay here again!     Overall a pleasant stay, with a few things that could be better

    We recently stayed here and overall had a good experience. The room and the property were very nice, and the staff deserve special mention. When we raised our concerns at the front desk, they were very understanding and apologized for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated.That said, there were a few issues worth sharing for other travelers:The in-room freezer was not working, and unfortunately some of our food spoiled as a result. This was especially difficult for us because we were storing food for our child, who has food allergies. With limited safe options for him, this made the trip much harder than it needed to be. On top of that, ice was only available on a different floor, so we had to go up and down repeatedly, which was quite inconvenient with a young child.Breakfast had very few vegetarian options, which was a letdown. A bit more variety here would go a long way for guests with dietary needs or preferences.One smaller note: the room does not get completely dark. There is always some sunlight and other light coming in, so if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, you may want to bring an eye mask or request blackout curtains.To be fair, the room itself and the rest of the stay were genuinely good, and the staff handled our concerns gracefully. With a working freezer, easier ice access, and a few more vegetarian breakfast choices, this would be an excellent place to stay, especially for families.     Not necessarily a review for the hotel, but two staff members: Ashanty at check in was new and she was OUTSTANDING. Friendly, kind, absolutely amazing! Julian helped us on our last day. He made great coffee, he was energetic to help with our luggage, very sincere and friendly! Two great employees!     Professional staff, nice rooms, great location. It's a short walk from Union Station and has good access to the L. We will definitely be back!     Great location of this hotel. We had a cosy corner room with full length windows providing a fantastic street view from the 14th floor. Although the staff were professional and efficient upon check in, they were not particularly friendly and don't expect friendly chat from them.
