    Dirty room, no shuttle service, no service period

    Dirty room, overbooked shuttle, way overpriced bar and front desk staff couldn’t have cared less. The shuttle to the hotel was at least 30 minutes wait after I called to check status. Paid for an Uber. I ordered two glasses of Cabernet to take to the room after a long travel day. Of course, there’s no menu anywhere to check prices. $35. The dirty shoe insole greeted us as we entered the room. Climate control was off and the room was so hot and sticky. We were booked on the 5am shuttle and given a ticket told to be in the lobby at 4:50. We got there at 4:45 and watched as the lobby filled with people. I asked the front desk person about status and he said there were two shuttles. At 5am one pulls up and says he can take 7 people. One family jumped forward and filled the whole thing so we didn’t get on. Spoke with the front desk person again who said there were 23 people booked onto the shuttle and most were from the La Quinta. He also didn’t know and didn’t care to find out if more shuttles were coming. He just said that they run every 40 minutes. Forced to pay for another Uber and wound up getting to the airport 30 minutes later than we wanted to. I selected this hotel based on the expectation that a Hyatt Place will provide a clean room, decent service and a reliable shuttle. Struck out on all counts.

    Very good for an airport hotel. Ask every Hyatt shuttle if they are going to Hyatt Place.

    The hotel is clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious and the beds are great. Breakfast selection is good. The only issue was the shuttle from the airport: they are not clearly marked and we ended up missing 2, giving up and paying a ridiculous taxi fare, it was very frustrating. On the way back to the airport we were able to reserve the shuttle and got to the airport in 5 min.

    Super convenient to Allstate Arena

    We stayed one night here, as we just flew in for a concert. Airport shuttle to and from hotel/O'Hare was perfect. Check in was a breeze. Our room was on the top floor (if memory serves) and it did the trick. Well appointed, comfy bed, room darkening shades, hot water with great water pressure. The breakfast the next morning was good, hit the spot before we flew back home. The best part of the hotel was the proximity to the Allstate Arena. It was perfect just being able to walk to the concert and walk right back, not having to deal with traffic.Checkout was quick and all the staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. We WILL be back for future stays/concerts. Thank you!

    I prepaid for my stay months in advance but the property charged me again during check out insisting that it showed on their system that it wasn’t a prepaid stay. It took numerous calls to get it fixed.
