    We come here annually for a meeting and have stayed here before. Our family has reserved a room and even paid for one day early so we could have early check in but they cancelled our room when we checked in at 5 am. The check in people were so unkind and rude. Very unhelpful. Didn’t matter we had the reservation number to verify. Totally unacceptable and never notified us they gave our room away. No benefit being Bonvoy either, never helped us. They can do this because of the location but honestly this is such unethical for a Marriott.     I stayed at the Marquis last month in April My friend and I were attending a comedy showcfor her Birthday. The hotel is a great location. I had no idea the wintrust Arena was attached to it. I didn't have to go outside which was a huge plus for me. The hotel staff was very nice and friendly especially Laura A. She checked me into a spacious corner room with a Beautiful view of the city. She explained the hotel to me and even gave me pointers on how to get around. I love the hotel and I will be back.     I have status at Hyatt and have been considering trying out Marriott, but after this stay I think I will not. The hotel common areas seem nice (lots of seating, easy to grab a snack, etc.) but the room seems dated, especially for the price! My room on the 13th floor has dirty windows. The beds and pillows are comfortable for me, which is a plus.I requested a king room and received a message in the app chat that I would get it, but when I got to my room, it had two queen beds. I also requested a tea kettle, but was told that housekeeping didn't have any. When I pulled back the covers on one of the beds to sleep, I found a black stain on the sheets. Luckily (I guess?) I had two beds available so I switched to the other one. I didn't bother requested a sheet change from housekeeping for such a short stay, but a hotel at this price point should be using clean sheets. Just kind of a meh stay, when the Hyatt Regency right down the street is quite nice and always gives me the amenities I ask for.     Nice And Close To McCormick Place

    A great hotel if your attending an event at McCormick Place, which you can get to from the hotel via a 5 min walk across the bridge. The hotel is nice and modern and very clean with 2 places to eat on-prem and a short walk to local restarunts, coffee shops and local convinenance store.I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and my stay was very comfoortable - I did however find the shower pressure to be on the low side and I found the valet/doormen rather rude and unhelpful - all the other staff were very polite, chearful and helpful, shame the valet/doormen staff let them down.Overall a great hotel, nice and close to McCormick Place and has everything you need for a business trip.     convenient to convention center, nice M lounge on 4th floor but with limited hours and food selection. not close to grocery story (walked 2mi to target, tj maxx, etc). close to chinatown.
