    Caviar cost for beer budget service:We booked a suite and a king room. About $1000 per night. We have stayed at this hotel 7 times and the management change has driven service quality down.The staff was politely dismissive at the front desk.The new surprise "amenities charge" of $29 per night per room is a good example. It is for "lobby coffee (thimble size cups), tap water in a dispenser in the lobby, and digital new york times (free)" added up to $180 charge for our 3 night stay for 2 rooms. These are free at a $119 per night Hilton or Hyatt. Offensive charges for the price.No valet, no bell cart. You can park 3 blocks away at the Target/CVS garage for $50 a night.Price for service is horrid.     The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were comfortable, but the level of service did not match the price point. For the rates being charged, I expected a more attentive and polished guest experience. Staff interactions felt inconsistent, and response times could have been better. While the property has a lot of potential and strong amenities, service is what truly defines a luxury stay. Overall, it was a pleasant visit, but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to hospitality and guest care.     Perfect stay when visiting UChicago

    A perfect spot to stay while visiting University of Chicago. The location was perfect -- we walked to and from both days, enjoying the neighborhood and parks along the way. The artwork in the Sophy is bar none -- my son is an artist and that made the stay even more special. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and the front desk team were engaging and made us feel welcomed. Will be our go-to when visiting campus!     Very disappointed

    Tried to check in early they told me I could check in at 2 . Got to the hotel at 2:15 said rooms weren’t ready come back at 3 which is my regular check in time. Got to the hotel a little after 3 and rooms still aren’t ready and I hear them telling people the key card machine is down so they can’t give them key cards.
