  I asked for an extra sheet and the lady at the desk argued that i didn't need one. After she finally gave me the sheet she bumped into my girl who was holding a baby at the time and didnt say anything about. Then our check out time was 12 and we over slept til 12:50 she came bussing in the room threatening to call the cops on us!! She could have simply woke us up then after we left they charged my carded an extra two times until it was no money left on it. This place is terrible please save yourself and go somewhere else

  The door did not lock properly and I noticed in the morning there was a hole near the doorknob that allowed someone in the hall to see right into the room. But my real issue was not being told there was a resort fee of over 100$. I was told by the person who checked me in that they would minus what I had paid on TripAdvisor, but that was not accurate and now I'm out an extra 70$!!

  I booked a room for Saturday night, I get there late in the night and no one is there. I got scammed out of $100 and they refuse to give me a refund. Michael, the manager was also compeltely unhelpful in any of this. Didn't bother to send someone to give me a room. I can't beleive you can buy a room and they will not let you stay. Stay away from this property!!!

  SCAM. FRAUDULENT PRACTICES. EXTORTION. OVER $400 HIDDEN FEES ON A 2-NIGHT STAY.

  SCAM. DO NOT BOOK A STAY HERE. THEY DEMANDED AN ADDITIONAL $400 for a two-night reservation (2 rooms). On an "all fees included" booking. More than $100/night IN HIDDEN FEES (never mentioned on the booking site.). I'm livid, and deeply saddened and disappointed. My typing deteriorates when I'm upset. Apologies. The hotel I booked, THE CHICAGO COLLECTION RIVER NORTH, two rooms because I needed one with me and three teenagers, a room with two double bunks (a quad) and my boyfriend in a second room (one bed) but we are one group, with you for a specific price, listed as "all fees included" --BUT: They (front desk of hotel) refused us our rooms, they would not give us our rooms for that price. They said we had to give them an additional $400, for unspecified services and/or benefits that I did not know about and had not agreed to, nothing in writing, no details given, or we could not get keys. This is a bait and switch scam. I gave my booking app (hopper) $175.00 for two rooms. For two nights. Which we could not check into because we simply did not have $400 extra on our credit cards to even check into. You/Hopper sold me two rooms for $175. They would not honor that unless we paid another $400. So in order to check in the actual price was $575. Not $175.00. I had three kids, five of us, in the lobby, trying to check in, but we were denied access unless we paid this exorbitant extra $400. It's not just bait and switch this is a scam, a fraudulent practice of advertising a too-low price then adding on extreme hidden fees. At no point was any itemization or list of services given or approved by me. I did not see any mention of the cost of additional fees prior to clicking "book now." The hotel would not let us check into our rooms, at all, without this extortion.I've reported you to my payment method (PayPal) and my boyfriend has reported this to his credit card company for the other $75.No one helped us. The gal at the desk was condescending, rude, and did not offer to help in any way. Just kept saying "we aren't responsible for third-party booking sites." But they have the money from the reservation s. Hopper customer service refused even a credit for another hotel. We had nowhere to stay and I lost nearly $300 in other museum tickets, parking, a dog sitter for three days, gas to and from (71.47 one way), and fees because we literally had to drive home 3 hours because we had nowhere to stay. I've lost all of that, in addition to the $175 stolen money for accommodations that were refused. And I'm a single mom, with three teenagers, and I had not taken a vacation IN THREE YEARS. Your fault. You sold us beds that were not provided. Period. That is fraud.
