Location was close to the events that were held but rooms need to be upgraded. I arrived at 3 pm and was rold room was not ready. I waited for a few minutes and then returned to front desk because I needed to dress for an event that was happening at 4pm. The initial stagf member could not make a decision to put me in an available room but a very nice co worker told the original employee to give me an available room. This should have been done because I am a Hilton Honor’s member. The plot thickens Someone was smoking and I called front desk at 2:30am. Front desk was very responsive and confirmed the odor. I packed up my belongings and was then relocated to another room which was less musty and did not have the smoke odor. I really appreciated the night staff member that came to my rescue. I also stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites at Avion Tampa International Airport and had an exceptional exercise. This Ulmerton location can learn Avion location. Toenail clippings in room

We had an early am flight Sat morning so we booked Friday night thru Tuesday. We checked in online Friday night as instructed. Upon arriving in our room Sat morning we found toenail clippings on the windowsill. Disgusting!The manager let us check out immediately but refused to refund the Friday night charge!Hilton corporate gave us points because they agreed this wasn't acceptable but they couldn't force the local manager to refund us.Unless you enjoy stranger's toenails in your room, I'd avoid this location. Clean comfortable room. There was some wear and tear evident although the counter in the bathroom seemed fresh and new so upgrades are in progress? The staff was friendly and helpful. We did notice road noise but were able to sleep well enough. We booked at the last minute because the hotel we had booked ahead of time was dirty and unsafe. Weird off the road location but it is quiet and very nice there. Hilton quality for sure. Front desk was great. I was impressed. Staying somewhere that looks brand new and clean makes a difference. Not what I would expect from a Hampton or Hilton

If it will let me post pictures, you would understand. Check in was easy and gentleman was friendly. Room is just full of damage. Ceiling has more spots fixed from leaks than spots not. They left spackle all over valance in front of window. Bedspread was worn and piled. Thermostat set at 69 stayed justify at 72. Bathroom toilet does not work even holding down the handle. Sink plug was broke so in order to use it you have to remove it (and it was nasty). Room was clean. Breakfast was fantastic and other than the lady at the front named Pukla or something.
