I really wanted to like this hotel. It is one of the few with 2 bedroom suites. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it. The good points are location - great restaurants , close to interstate and airport and a Publix nearby. The cleaning staff and the breakfast providers were great. They provided great customer service. The breakfast was tasty and the area kept very clean.The downsides:The front desk personnel have no customer service skills. The only exception was a young man I believe his name was Abril; he was cheerful and helpful. The others were not unpleasant but they weren't helpful or pleasant. The main reaction noted from them was annoyance that you were bothering them. The A/C is a major annoyance. First, they hide the thermostat behind the TV. This is a terrible place to put it. First of all you can't see it, you have to move the TV to be able to adjust the temperature. Any heat from the TV affects the thermostat and if you don't have the TV in the right position all the cold air drops behind it causing the cooling to stop too early. We entered the room and the thermostat was set to 60 degrees. We bumped it up and the HEAT came on. Ridiculous. Do not expect the ceiling fans in the bedrooms to work. Either they don't work at all or they only work if the light is on. We were told that there is one remote for the ceiling fan and if they turn on one it will affect another room! We were in 3 rooms during the last month. In 2 the fan worked only with the light on. In another there was only 1 fan in one of the bedrooms. The pool was closed at 10 pm but they allowed people to go into the pool area afterwards. On 2 nights at 2 am and 3 am there were people talking loudly around the pool. This area should be off limits after 10 pm. There is only 1 ice machine in the whole hotel. It is located as far away from the front desk as possible. Coming from the second floor it and the opposite side of the hotel it is quite a hike to get some ice. I asked the front desk where it was located. The response "near 143." I had to ask where room 143 was located, they just pointed. On my way there a cleaning woman offered to get some ice from the kitchen for me. That was kind and good customer service.

Need to sort out their housekeeping arrangements and electricity in rooms

Pleasant hotel if you can put up with the fact that fans in the rooms operate from the next door rooms. The rooms are comfortable as are the beds. Spacious 2 room suites.The housekeeping was a nightmare. It is every other day but they missed the first one so a bit hit and miss when they were going to turn up. Services repeatedly not done. The housekeeping manager didn't seem to know what was going on. She relied on the computer rota but she didn't seem to realise that if you feed rubbish into it you will get rubbish out of it. I would suggest they review their housekeeping arrangements and manager.The housekeeping staff were excellent and were sympathising with us.Breakfast is buffet style and very good.

Love that the property isn’t crazy large and gives an authentic Homewood experience. Room was so clean and fresh smelling.Thank you for the efforts in the breakfast area. The quality of the scrambled eggs, the carnitas, red and green salsa, cheese, whipped butter, whipped cream cheese, etc. Your selections to complement the breakfast dishes stood out from many other proprieties along my travels and make it worth it for anyone staying for a long time.

Cut our stay short

Well… let’s just say we had a reservation for 5 nights and checked out after 1. We knew there were renovations when we booked but they were definitely more extensive than what was mentioned. Like dark parking lots? Well this is your place. I’ve never seen a more poorly lit hotel parking lot. We have a toddler and brought a travel pack and play for him to sleep in. Literally one place in the room we could put it and it was lodged between the dresser and the bed - we got the 1 bedroom suite and it felt so small. Also, do you like sleeping with a fan on? Well bring an eye mask because you can’t have the fan on and the light off. Which you’ll want the fan on as long as possible because the rooms are hot and have minimal air flow.

Nice clean friendly staff and roomy space

My partner and I booked this hotel for our mini st.pete weekend getaway. We stay in Orlando, so St. Petersburg is only a short drive away. Elise was the one who checked us in; she was very friendly and helpful and. Was able to accommodate my early check. I am a Hilton Honors member, and a majority of the time I travel, I stay at Hilton Brands hotels. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and we had an older room that has not been renovated yet . The room, even though it was older and not renovated, was very roomy, clean, and nice, and I am looking forward to my next stay once the room and hotel are fully renovated. I will definitely stay here again; the housekeeper who does the line was also very friendly and spoke each time she saw me, which is nice. The evening ladies both were also friendly. I would say that Hilton is always normally nice, but I wanted to say this team here excels what I normally experience, and that is saying a lot because Hilton is a great brand.
