  I stayed at the hotel on Oak Street Conway Arkansas this past weekend for 3 nights. I am super disgusted and truly shocked because myself and my employees have always used this hotel throughout the US and never had these issues.I tried to book a Queen efficiency room or king suite and I was told they were all booked. I stayed 3 nights and only 7 rooms were rented during our entire stay so that was a lie. It would have been nice to have a kitchenette during a massive ice and snow blizzard. The man at the front desk had zero personality and was downright rude. Bathroom exhaust fan did not work, black mold on bathroom ceiling, giant gap on bottom and side of entry door to room with a constant, frigid breeze and snow blowing in, sink and tub would not drain properly so I had to stand in dirty shower water and washing our hands in the sink was impossible because it took forever to drain, hairdryer was broken, filth around bathtub faucets and tub towel rack, missing towel rack in sink area. Rim of toilet was black and disgusting with foul odor. Bugs on the mattress. This is only some of the problems. I have time and dated photos. Myself and all of my employees will never use this hotel again.When I spoke to the man at the front desk about the problems and asked again about changing rooms he said none were available and nothing could be done because of the storm.

  Golfing in the Ozarks

  The location of the resort in the Ozarks is gorgeous. Nice restaurant if you don’t want to cook. Convenient grocery store. Cute local craft store. Many venues are long drives away especially in the fall because many attractions close for the winter season.

  Disappointed with Club Wyndham Resort @ Fairbield Bay

  Club Wyndham Resort @ Fairfield Bay was not as advertised! There was garbage on the walkway leading to our unit. There was a large dog two doors down that barked constantly every time we walked to and from our car. Our unit was supposed to have a Cliff Side View from the balcony, but had no view. There were large trees that completely obstructed any view that may have been there when the unit was built. The grounds were not well kept. You would have to walk through knee high grass to get to the pickleball court. The building next to us had recently had a fire and was barricaded off with mesh fencing. We had booked for a 7 day stay, but left after just one night. We expressed our disappointment with the front desk, but the lady indifferent and offered no solution or reimbursement for our troubles.   Peaceful and quiet, could use a few upgrades.

  Fairfield Bay is a “community” of homes, condos, and the Wyndham timeshare company. It’s a beautiful area, very quiet, with a few good restaurant options and lots of hiking and water activities. My wife and I hiked Sugarloaf Mountain (500 ft of elevation gain in 1 mile) and we played pickleball at the recreation center. The condo itself has horribly ugly carpet that needs to be replaced. The appliances, mattress, shower/bath area were all great. The entry deck and back deck are brand new, so we could tell that there are ongoing upgrades. We would definitely stay again, and it’s a very budget friendly place.   We enjoyed the resort and mostly the pools! The cool pool was so much fun and the food at the restaurant at the pool was fantastic!
