    I called the front desk the night before my check-out date and asked for another night. They said if we don't check out, card will be charged another night automatically and the room stays with me. I get back to room about 8pm, all my stuff is gone, and they cannot locate my groceries, i had a case of water bottles that they refused to give back. I wouldn't stay here, front desk person claims I didnt call as if I am lying. It's worth it not to deal with them and they wouldn't even call the manager for me or try to make it right.     Fresh new paint and clean. Quiet, good location + budget friendly. You can tell they are working hard to improve this property. If you’re looking for the Ritz, then head over to the Ritz and pay $600 / night.

    The first room had a leaky toilet and dirty sheet on the bed. We requested and got another room which had a roach problem. There were no towels either and the phone didn't work. I had to make sure there were no roaches in my suitcase. We lasted 2 nights...never again.

    Hostile Front Desk Clerk (“Rick”)

    The best part of this motel experience is a Front Desk man named Gino. The worst part of the motel experience is another Front Desk man who identifies himself by the name “Dick” (possibly short for “Richard?”). Rick (unmasked) literally likes to spit things out of his mouth when he is disgusted with a guest. Rick explained (yelled) that he is only responsible for what happens behind the plexiglass area of the front desk and nothing else. Rick explained that the glowing red letters displayed on the digital marquee, that reads “JESUS LOVES YOU!!!…”FREE C/Bkfst”…”FREE Local Phone Calls”, etc. is not his problem.The motel offered this guest none of the aforementioned amenities or privileges. The phone in the room was inoperable so, the wake up called requested the night before was impossible. There was no breakfast and hasn’t been for over a year at this property. The phone in the room did not work: couldn’t call out at all. Rick explained that phones are often stolen. The cigarette burns all over the stained blanket was nerve-wrecking so I got the car tarpe covering out of my car to sleep on the dingy, stain-ridden sheets one night. I checked out then decided to give the property a second chance with one additional night’s stay: two separate reservations. The bathroom light over the sink flickered while the bath tub itself had metal and rust stains from cracked porcelain, resulting in my request for a room change at 4:30AM.Rick was displeased and yelled at me from behind the plexi-glass front desk protection). He actually spit something out of his mouth while speaking to me: a COVID hazard with no mask. Rick demanded that I wait (25 minutes) and kept yelling “FREAKIN’ WAIT!“ before he decided to give me a new room key then refused to either write down the room number on the key card or enter a wake up call in a professional and timely manner. Rick further stated that he “guaranteed” that I would never be allowed to speak with the “Owner/Manager” about my grievance with the property and my health concerns with the rusty, exposed bath tub basin. He said the owner’s name was “Louis”As all this transpired, Rick allowed a strange woman to enter the hotel lobby and curse at me as I stood there in shock, waiting for a room change. Rick reiterated that he was “only in charge of what is behind the front desk plexi-glass area. The women continued her verbal assault for approximately 5 to 7 minutes, then exited the motel lobby. I said nothing to the woman in response. Rick told me that I would never get to share my complaint to the manager about my concerns. abvi hurst, General Manager at Americas Best Value Inn Ft. Worth Hurst, responded to this review Please accept our sincere apologies for the unacceptable manner in which you were treated, and for the conditions of the room you described. This is very concerning to us, and definitely does not reflect the high standards of quality customer care and room cleanliness/maintenance upkeep that we work so hard to provide our guests. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention so we can properly address these issues. We sincerely hope that this unpleasant experience doesn't deter you from staying at America's Best Value Inn in the future.

    I realize this might be the only bad apple in the bunch. I also realize that all travelers are walking blind into an overnight lodging, and for that reason, I'm writing my first negative write-up (I'm 70 years old).The interstate highway on which the motel is located was shut down and my GPS couldn't reroute me. I wandered around Ft. Worth-Hurst for 3 hours trying to locate ABVI&S, during which time I was trying to call the 24-hour front desk. For 3 hours - NO ANSWER... just elevator music. I finally stumbled across them at 4:00 AM. Location was sufferable. NO amenities. Desk clerk was apathetic! At the room, the light wasn't operational. I had to fumble around in the dark to find a light that worked. Parts of the room were spotless, other parts filthy! Soap film on the lavatory countertop, towels were stained (rust and greasy spots), many black "specks" on the sheets, another "something" fuzzy/furry. At 4:00 AM I wasn't going to look for another motel. I quickly pulled the bedspread back up and slept in my clothes on top of the bedspread. I'm glad my wife didn't see this place!What I liked best? Shower - it was clean.
