  ​There is a profound difference between a budget hotel and a complete abandonment of basic hospitality standards. My stay at the Quality Inn & Suites in Canton was not merely a "bad stay"; it was a masterclass in professional disappointment.​The experience began with a front desk interaction that set a grim tone for the evening. Despite a "No Smoking" sign prominently displayed and a verbal assurance from a notably rude clerk that the facility was smoke-free, the reality behind the door of my room told a different story. The air was thick and stagnant, reeking of stale tobacco that had clearly permeated the walls over many years.​The condition of the room was, frankly, indefensible:​The Bedding: The thin comforter was littered with cigarette burns—a jarring sight in a supposedly non-smoking room. Removing the covers revealed a horror show of hygiene: the sheets were visibly soiled, and the pillowcases appeared used, lacking even the basic protection of a pillow protector. Most disturbing was a large, dark red stain on the mattress cover near the head of the bed, the origins of which I care not to imagine.​The Amenities: The room was functionally dead. Both the television and the bedside phone were non-operational, rendering the space little more than a dim, silent cell.​Sanitation: The bathroom was a gallery of grime, with moldy residue clinging to the shower surfaces. The towels lacked any semblance of a "fresh" scent, and the floors felt as though they hadn't seen a vacuum or a mop in quite some time.​Perhaps the most insulting element of the entire ordeal was the "incidental deposit." To demand a financial guarantee against "damages" in a room that is already in a state of advanced decay is a special kind of irony. It is a joke that isn't particularly funny when you are the one holding the bill.​I find it deeply regrettable that I did not consult the reviews before booking. This establishment operates with a blatant disregard for its guests and its own advertised standards. If you are looking for a place to rest in Canton, look elsewhere—anywhere else. This was a total failure of service and sanitation.

  Got a room and the floor was filthy. when we walked in found smashed roaches on the walls one walking on the ceiling it dropped to the bed and went under the mattress. We never stayed. Totally disgusting. Still trying to get a refund. Oh and you can't leave a review on their website.

  Was overcharged 127.00. Man at front desk was very arrogant and rude. Was told “that’s our price. No refunds!” Bed was stained and sheets had cigarette burns. Tub had thick dirty moldy grout all around it and plaster was smeared in tub for Im assuming as patch job. Long hair everywhere. Light fixtures and bathroom fan full of bugs and dirt. Couch was filthy and had what looked like food smeared on it. Breakfast was cold cereal or waffle. Thin walls, listened to man in next room snore all night. Wi-Fi never worked. They say no alcohol allowed but groups people were all around pool area drinking and playing loud music.

  Absolutely No to this Hotel

  Booked by phone. Then they overcharged us $26.00 more plus tax. The website shows the price, but they still charge more. The manager stated the rates constantly change. The hotel is old. There was no breakfast. You can't find any staff at the front desk. These people are scammers. Avoid this hotel. Choice Hotels also have no customer service. I will never stay in another Choice Hotel again.
