  Roaches in Room, No Room Change Offered, and No Management Response”

  I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites Irving Las Colinas DFW while attending my niece graduation, April 22-25 and the experience was unacceptable.During our stay, we encountered multiple roaches—one in the bathroom shower and two inside the room itself. I reported this to the front desk more than once and took pictures as proof. I was also informed by the front desk attendant that other guests had complained about roaches as well, which makes it clear this was not an isolated incident. Despite this, no meaningful action was taken, and I was not offered a room change, which should have been the bare minimum given the circumstances.In addition to the pest issue, the blinds in the room were broken. I was told that maintenance was not on site on Wednesday; however, no one followed up or attempted to fix the issue at any point from Thursday through Saturday. This lack of follow-through further reflects poor service and attention to basic guest needs.At checkout, I requested a partial refund due to the conditions. I was told a manager would follow up, but I never received a call, apology, or any resolution.The explanation given—that the hotel had recently been treated and that weather conditions were causing roaches to come inside—only made the situation more concerning, especially if they could get into our belongings. Being on the first floor with luggage on the floor added to the discomfort.Cleanliness and basic guest care are non-negotiable. The presence of roaches, acknowledgment of similar complaints from other guests, broken room fixtures, lack of responsiveness, and failure to offer even a room change reflects poorly on management and overall guest service standards.I would strongly encourage others to reconsider staying here until these issues are properly addressed. I am still expecting follow-up from management regarding a refund or appropriate resolution.

  Don’t rely on shuttle

  I would have given it a higher score except that the free shuttle promised at 4 am didn’t arrive and I had to call an Uber at the last minute. Receptionist kept saying, he is coming, and after waiting 45 minutes I had to Uber to the airport in a frantic to not miss my flight. This is not the time to fool around with shuttle promises. Room was clean, the bathroom a bit in need of service, but overall fine for the price.

  Credit Card Overcharged

  Big Time Scammers. They overcharge my credit card one extra day. Luckily I caught it, and when I contacted them, they said ONLY THE MANAGER could authorize a refund. I had to call 8 times over a period of 5 days to get my credit card refunded the $128.78 they overcharged. Still not sure, but I did get a email saying they did. How many people actually check their emails 2 days later to catch their theft and fraud.

  Hotel looks like a throwback to the 70's. But the bed was comfortable and the staff were polite. I like that it's 15 minutes from the airport. Bathroom was clean except for some black mold in the corner of the shower.

  I Will Not Stay At This Chain Again

  They scanned my DL as a check-in requirement. I said I was concerned about my personal information hitting the dark web should a data breach occur. The response was they would tell the manager. There was no desk chair. Only a bench which provides no back support while working. I received excuses such as renovation. I pointed out tens of empty chairs in the lounge; after begging, the desk clerk delivered a filthy, opholstered one. There was no luggage rack in the room so bags had to be on the floor. The room phone and the safe were both inoperable. There was no offer to change rooms or make any accommodation. At check-out, I asked them to delete my driver's license and the response was they would tell the manager. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom appeared to be pretty clean. I sprayed Lysol on everything. There was renovation going on down the hall, so the smell of sheetrock mud and paint was in the room.
