    DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

    rating15 Mar 2026

Dear Manager,I am writing to formally request a full refund for the two nights I was charged during my recent stay at your Comfort Inn property.During our stay, several serious issues occurred that made the room unsafe and prevented my family from receiving the lodging services that we paid for.First, the elevator was not working. My cousin, who has cerebral palsy, could not safely use the stairs, especially because the stairway area was dark due to lighting issues. Hotels are required to maintain accessible accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the lack of a functioning elevator created a serious accessibility problem. In addition, one evening the lights in our room stopped working completely. Instead of relocating us to another room with working electrical service, we were provided with an extension cord. An extension cord is not a reasonable accommodation. A reasonable accommodation would have been relocating us to a safe room with working lights and electrical service. The following day there was also a fire involving the microwave in our room. My aunt attempted to help put out the fire and was burned during the incident. The receptionist had to come from the front desk and use a fire extinguisher to put the fire out.I was also informed that breakfast would not be provided because there was no electricity. Breakfast was advertised as part of the stay, and therefore this was another service that was not provided.Additionally, it has repeatedly been stated that the power issues were due to weather conditions. However, during our conversation it was confirmed that the hotel was experiencing an internal electrical problem and was waiting for someone to come out and repair the circuit breaker. I was also told that because it was after hours and the issue occurred over the weekend, it was difficult to find someone to come out immediately. It is important to clarify that this did not appear to be a weather-related outage. There were lights operating at nearby businesses, including the hotel next door, QVC, and the restaurant across the street where we ultimately had to go for breakfast. This indicates that the electrical problem was isolated to your property. For this reason, I respectfully ask that the issue not be attributed to weather conditions. Based on the information provided to me at the time, it was an isolated electrical issue within the hotel.Because of the accessibility issues, electrical failure, the fire incident, and the failure to provide advertised services, the hotel did not provide the lodging services that were paid for.For these reasons, I am requesting a full refund for the two nights of my stay. I am not requesting a credit for a future stay, as I do not intend to return to this property. If this matter cannot be resolved promptly, I will continue pursuing the refund through my bank and through corporate customer relations.I would appreciate your prompt response.Sincerely,Lameka Jenkins Masterkey Hospitality, Revenue Management at Comfort Inn & Suites Mansfield, responded to this review Dear Lameka,Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. EXCELLENT Customer Service-A Hotel That Showed True Compassion

    rating26 Sept 2024

My sister and I booked this hotel (that we've stayed at before) to visit my ailing father, whom we knew was not doing well. Heartbreakingly, before we could get to Texas, my father passed away. After a few days in complete fog and shock, we realized that we had missed the deadline to notify the hotel, airline, and car rental companies that we would not be needing the reservation, and we were now faced with losing the $1000, on top of having to pay for upcoming funeral expenses. I had booked this hotel through Hotels.com, but they said that ultimately it was up to the hotel to make the decision about refunding us the money. I cannot convey how impressed and grateful I was to receive a FULL refund within 24 hours of my call (and documentation being sent) to this hotel! We are still fighting with the airline (American) and the car rental company, but the hotel's act of kindness during this time of grief really made a difference to us and we can not thank them enough. It feels good to know that there are still companies out there who really have heart, and who show true compassion by doing the right thing when it comes time. My family and I will be forever grateful. We wish there was a higher rating than five stars. Thank you. Guest Relations Manager, Owner at Comfort Inn & Suites Mansfield, responded to this review Dear margauxsunshine,Thank you for taking the time to share this five star experience with our management, staff, and future guests. I'm glad that our services, hospitality, and accommodations exceeded your expectations and hope that you experience the same comfortable stay during your next visit! On behalf of our entire staff, we thank you for your business and we hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to the area!

    rating11 May 2024

Wow what a horrible experience if I could give this place a negative -100 I would when we made the reservation it looked ok but when we arrived it was dark dirty and had a staff that should be working in a 1 hour motel! We had issues with our reservation and every level of trying to correct it was the worst you could Imagine! None of the management staff was available nor EVER did the return any calls! I would and never ever stay a a Comfort Suites ever again! They should be classified a Motel not a hotel! I should have read the reviews before I booked it! STAY AWAY THIS PLACE IS ON ITS WAY TO BANKRUPCY! Unsafe

The hotel staff is extremely rude. From the front desk to the cleaning ladies. The rooms are outdated right along with the whole building. Entrance doors are not locked at any time so anyone can just walk in off the streets. Had a peeping Tom literally get arrested outside our window. Guest Relations Manager, Owner at Comfort Inn & Suites Mansfield, responded to this review Hi leighleyd,Thank you for your comments regarding your stay in our hotel. We apologize for any rudeness that you encountered during your stay with us. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior to or from any of our staff and management and strive to provide efficient, friendly and helpful service to all of our customers. I will forward your concerns to our management team so they can discuss this with the team. It is always our goal to give you a 5-star experience, and I apologize for failing to do so. I do hope you'll return and let us show you a far better experience.

    Beware

    rating07 Jul 2021

I read a review about this hotel making a copy of your drivers license and credit card but took a chance because this was the only hotel with two queens after a last minute basketball tournament booking. When checking in, the lady asked for license and credit card and then started walking toward the copier. I asked her to stop and what in the world she was doing? She replied, company policy. I asked why. She replied they needed it in case there was a fire? What, really. Thank goodness Best Western had a cancellation. Be careful folks!
