    Marriott Name, Motel Reality: A Stay That Misses Every Basic Expectation

    You expect a certain baseline when you book with Marriott—not luxury necessarily, but at least competence. Unfortunately, this Courtyard by Marriott manages to miss even the basics.For what they’re charging per night, I’m not asking for anything over the top—but I do expect a room that doesn’t feel like it was patched together as an afterthought. The shower looks like it was “fixed” by someone who gave up halfway through, and the wallpaper is literally peeling away with what looks like mold starting to creep in. Apparently, ventilation in a bathroom is optional here, which explains a lot.Want to use the key-access side door right by your room? Good luck. It doesn’t work. And is there a sign letting you know that before you stand there swiping your card like an idiot? Of course not. Why would there be?I’m only on day two of this stay and already beyond disappointed. The whole place just feels neglected—like no one’s really paying attention to the details that actually matter. It’s not completely unlivable, but that’s about the nicest thing I can say. Honestly, it’s just… subpar across the board.

    Horrible facility. This hotel is nowhere near brand standard. Front desk staff is untrained and unprofessional. Rooms have mold and scum. Roshela needs extensive hospitality training. Do not visit this location on your travels.

    We missed our departure out of DFW due to weather delays, and American Airlines put us up here as a “courtesy”. This hotel should not have the Marriott name associated with it. It was completely dilapidated, and I felt unsafe. Additionally, the room smelled foul, and the bathroom pocket door was soaked with precipitation, presumably due to humidity. I am thankful my husband was with me, or I would have spent the entire 6 hours that we were in the room wide awake and worrying for my safety. We checked out after we got a few winks and relocated to another Marriott and stayed there until AA could rebook our flight homeI rarely post negative reviews, but this hotel is awful and should be demolished or sold to a brand even lower quality most Suoer 8s. Again, shame on American Airlines for putting us up here!

    This hotel is horrible. Marriott should be ashamed. The place STINKS every where and they try to over perfume to compensate. The elevator is not air conditioned so in the Texas heat it is like 300 degrees. Also the elevator is about two years past its due date for an inspection and sounds like it is breaking each time one rides. The linens are sketchy. Nothin good here except I don’t think I got bed bugs. AVOID AVOID AVOID

    I truly don’t understand why people don’t like this hotel. The staff was stellar & Adrien at the bar was fantastic. It was the first perfect refuge when my flight cancelled & the hotels closer to the airport were $400+. Well done team Marriott!
