  Very friendly staff and a very clean room. Everything was provided including free breakfast.

  Employee unprofessional/discriminatory behavior

  Some of the staff is very unprofessional. One of the Hispanic workers (Claudis) spoke disrespectfully to guest during breakfast. The worker behaved very poorly during breakfast. She was very aggressive! No establishment should allow their workers to speak with customers in that manner. The worker spoke about Black patron/guests in Spanish to other workers. She began to have conversation out loud with other hospitality staff about the guest in general. If she’s not happy with her job, she needs to find employment elsewhere. This establishment is based on customer service. Customer Service keeps her salary paid. I have watched as they allowed their kids to run around and eat breakfast. The staff is allowed to eat breakfast. However ,they treat the guest as if they’re not welcome to breakfast. The same rude woman allowed staff to come in afterwards to get their plates and she had nothing to say to them. I’m very appalled of her behavior/actions in a public setting. That type of behavior should not be accepted in work environment.. This situation definitely could have escalated to a very serious matter especially with the discriminatory behavior of the worker. Everyone should be treated with respect/ equally. Claudia you’re definitely being called out for your actions and should be reprimanded. We as gas can complain about majority of the staff, not speaking English, making it very difficult for us to communicate about our needs.   Appreciation for Exceptional Service at Dallas Downtown

  I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding service I received during my recent visit to your establishment in downtown Dallas.The location proved to be a very good choice, offering a comfortable and unpretentious environment. However, what truly made my experience memorable was the exceptional attention provided by Ms. Tam at the reception desk. After a long and tiring day, her kindness and attentiveness stood out remarkably. She was incredibly helpful, courteous, and professional throughout my stay.Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Ms. Tam for her dedication and excellent service.   The room was a good size, and the kitchenette was nice. However, there were noticeable paint spots on the window shades. The shower was stained, though it appeared clean, and the elevators were very slow. While I could overlook these minor issues, the real concern was the sketchy environment around the parking lot. I made sure to remove everything from my car to avoid any potential break-ins, and my travel companion and I stuck together whenever we went outside for safety. To top it off, the interaction with the desk clerk was less than pleasant, which added to the unease we felt with the questionable individuals lingering near the back door and parking lot. The room itself wasn't the dealbreaker (full-length mirror would be nice)—it just didn’t meet Marriott’s usual standards (in my opinion). It was the location and the poor interaction with the one staff member that made me regret my choice.

  Great Choice for a Convention Center Visit

  Recently stayed at the Element Dallas Downtown East. This is a great option if you need to be near the convention center, but don’t want to pay convention center prices. It’s about a ten minute ride and Lyft cost around $8-10 each way (if you choose the cheapest option). There is a Starbucks, Chipotle and McDonald’s within walking distance. The closest grocery store is a Supermercado, and I was able to get fresh fruit and Gatorade.The room was great. There was a full kitchen, though I only used the refrigerator. I appreciated the filtered sink water which saved me from having to purchase bottled water for my daughter’s water bottle every day.The bed was super comfy. The shower was fine, but I would have preferred a little more pressure and hotter water. There was no noise from surrounding rooms.Breakfast had a lot of options- hot food, yogurt bar, cereals and breads. On weekends there was a made to order pancake station.There was always fresh water in the lobby. One evening I came back to a cute little tea station.Overall, a good stay and I would choose again if in town for another tournament.
