    Safe, clean hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm cookies in the lobby, the free trolley to and from Globe Life Field and the breakfast! Definitely would stay here again!

    If you’re looking for a clean room with a decent king-size bed, and clean bathroom with decent water pressure and temperature, this would get 5 stars. However, if you’re looking for a comfortable mattress for the extra guest on the pullout sofa, it gets 2 stars. If you could rate the guests above you who had little kids being noisy till midnight and the adult in that room pacing above you off and on all hours of the night and early morning, they’d get a zero—but not really the hotel’s fault. If you’re rating the front-desk staff, they were fine. Fairfields are not known for their lively lobby atmosphere. Very minimal and clean and fine. Some freeway noise, but again—not the hotel’s fault. I’d stay here again, but on the top floor. And for the extra guest, I’d get two double beds instead of a king suite.

    Was a bit nervous checking in here after reading some of these reviews, but after my stay I wonder if some of the reviewers are even talking about the same hotel!This is an absolutely fine example of a budget hotel, conveniently located near several popular attractions. It knows its target market and accommodates them well. Is it the best hotel I've ever stayed in? Of course not, but it's far from the worst.Strangest complaint I saw a few times which had me nervous was the claim that it's in a 'sketchy neighborhood' which is nonsense - it's on a quiet and safe backstreet next to a highway, as most of these places are. There are several good food and drink options close by in easy walking distance, which is more than can be said for most out-of-town US hotels. I also walked to and from Six Flags and felt completely safe apart from the usual fear of being run over which is perfectly typical for anywhere in the car-dependent hellscape of Texas. The only other business in the so-called 'sketchy' neighborhood is a gas station a few steps from the hotel with a great selection of food, drinks and essentials, with very friendly staff. All of the people you see out-and-about in the area area theme park guests or sports fans visiting for a game nearby.Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and got me a very early check-in which was greatly appreciated. My room was clean, quiet and modern - shower was good, AC worked well and the bed was comfy. It's all fairly basic of course but perfectly pleasant.The free breakfast was nice - not a vast selection but again, it's not the Ritz-Carlton - everything was hot, fresh, tasty, and the dining area was clean and cheerful. The fresh coffee available 24/7 in the lobby was also very much appreciated.I'd happily come back if ever I was in the area and looking for a reasonably priced place to lay my head for a night or two.
