    Economical place to sleep if you need to be close to the airport

    I needed a last minute room as I was out late and had an early morning flight. The room was less than $80. I arrived, slept, and caught the shuttle and left.     No water in hotel, booking not refunded after multiple tries

    Booked a night with Quality Inn on Hotels.com (prepaid to get a better rate). When my wife and I showed up at midnight we called for their airport shuttle and was informed that the hotel had no water. I told the front desk person that we were going to need to cancel the reservation and stay somewhere else. She said to be sure to contact Hotels.com to arrange a refund. I contacted Hotels.com to arrange a refund but after multiple attempts my them and myself calling the hotel directly and emailing the manager I got no response. Finally gave up after hours on the phone. The desk clerk said that they knew days ahead that their water was being shut off but had no way to contact me even though they sent me a message through Hotels.com email portal a week before. I would recommend any travelers coming through Dallas DFW not to stay at this hotel. If there is any problems with your stay you won’t be reimbursed. Also, please read the reviews from the last year, apparently this place has gone downhill fast.     Ok stay close to DFW

    Decent priced accommodation close to DFW. Free airport shuttle available, but unfortunately it did not always work back to the motel. No problem to airport though. Nice breakfast included.     We stayed here to catch an early flight. I should have checked the map before I booked here. Little did I know that this was DIRECTLY under a major N-S runway approach. 15 landings at 9PM, 8 at 11, 6 at midnight 4 at 4AM. They come in about 400 feet above the motel. The room was on the far side of shabby, One pane of the sound resistant glass was missing, curtain was ripped, paint was peeling from the ceiling. The bed was ok. They did provide airport transportation which was clean and on time. No semblance of a basic motel breakfast.     The quality inn is an economical option near the airport for convenient stay. The hotel is old and needs work. There are some specifics that we found unpleasant: the whole second floor hall smells like a messy kitchen. Beds were soft, not comfortable. Breakfast is really cheap.Hotel pick up from airport is offered, but we had problems communicating and could not be picked up.Hotel is what it is for a cheap price.
