Keeping looking. There are better places for less

    rating11 Jun 2026

This hotel looks nice but the room was shabby and the bed was broken! Literally! And it was so loud. The front desk did nothing about it and was incredibly unhelpful. Doors slamming shut at all hours. Yelling.I do not recommend. I have been unable to get a resolution w the hotel. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore, responded to this review Thank you for sharing your experience, 333camies. Not an Ideal Convention Location

    rating21 May 2026

Not the greatest location for a larger meeting/convention. Parking is limited, and the meeting rooms are spread out and not ideal for multiple sessions. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore, responded to this review Thank you, Robert, for sharing your impressions with us. We are sorry your experience with parking and the layout of our meeting spaces did not align with your needs for a convention of this size. Your feedback will be shared with our Guest Relations and event planning teams as we continue working to improve future meetings and gatherings.

    BEWARE OF TRADEWINDS LOUNGE STAFF

    rating22 Mar 2026

If I could rate this experience a zero, I would! We were staying at this hotel due to a dance competition being held there and the experience was extremely unpleasant. On Friday, March 20 a group of families, 4 adults and 4 children all ages 6 and under went down to the one restaurant on site, "Tradewinds Lounge". As expected the restaurant was busy and we were told we needed to wait one hour. (Which is fine, we were not upset by it and we waited our time) After an hour and 20 minutes went by we went back up to the host stand who was actually the manager on duty, Tiara. She told us we needed to wait for this one specific table, which was enjoying their time in the restaurant and ordering after dinner drinks. We nicely asked if we could sit at one of the other open tables in the back since the table seemed to be enjoying their time. The manager Tiara was completely rude about sitting us but did with an unpleasant approach. We ordered food, and all adults had one beverage. Our children, who were excited just like all the other children in the restaurant were actually very well behaved, sitting in their seats and using appropriate volume in their voices. We had finished eating, were literally paying the bill when the manager, Tiara yelled from the computer a good 10 feet away, "ARE THOSE YOUR CHILDREN" (which she did know those were our children because she sat us) when we responded yes she told us loudly in front of other restaurant guests that we as parents needed to teach them to be respectful of others around because there was a "sensory sensitive" family behind us and did not appreciate dining near us. We were initially shocked, one that the manager literally was yelling this information, which to me, is more disruptive than children in a family friendly restaurant and two that she handled the situation in the most unprofessional manner possible. The waitress, Laura even agreed that our children did nothing wrong the entire time, while we were all left sitting there shocked just needing to fill out the tip. This waitress even said she did not know why the manager did that, and made sure we tipped her well. Once she received the tip she then switched her story so Im sure she did not get in trouble, and offered unwanted, rude parenting advice. We went to the front desk where they took down the information and said a manager would be in contact with us. Sunday night at 10:00pm I received an unprofessional email from Naser, the manager of the water park & the lounge. In the email he touched upon how the stories did not match and how his staff remained professional throughout the interaction (which they did not) Yelling at guests and yelling about another guests sensory problems is most certainly NOT professional. Perhaps Naser, if there was a problem the staff could have came over quietly and none of this would have ever occurred. I responded to the email, asking to speak on the phone, and I called where he then told me he was too busy to talk. Hours later I got another email saying "There is nothing to talk about, best regards" As a manager, Naser should know there is indeed something to talk about, and should be willing to rectify the situation instead of dismissing concerns of paying customers. Overall, staff interactions at this hotel are extremely rude and I would NEVER suggest anyone stay here. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore, responded to this review We are truly sorry, Jamie, to hear about what happened during your visit and the experience you described both in the Tradewinds Lounge and with our leadership. How our team communicates is extremely important, and we understand this was upsetting for everyone involved. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

Disappointing Service and Poor Management Despite Convenient Location

    rating01 Mar 2026

The location of the hotel is convenient and close to stores, which was helpful when we needed to run out quickly. However, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt outdated and quite dark in certain areas. Our room was located far from the main areas, which made it feel isolated. The room itself was okay, but cleanliness was concerning — we found chapstick and hair ties under the furniture, suggesting housekeeping may not be thoroughly cleaning or moving items during service. We visited the waterpark, and while the kids enjoyed it, the experience overall was disappointing. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality received. It was very busy with limited staff support. I waited 30 minutes just to place an order for a turkey wrap and Caesar wrap, and another 15 minutes to receive it. There appeared to be little organization, as people were grabbing food and drinks without tickets. Someone even attempted to take my order before I could claim it.The noise level was what you would expect from a hotel connected to a waterpark and spa, so that was understandable. However, I was concerned that lifeguards appeared distracted on their phones rather than actively watching the pools. We rented a cabana for $200 expecting the ability to come and go throughout the day. When we briefly returned to our room and came back, another family was occupying our cabana. Although we reported this, nothing was done to remove them, and we essentially lost the cabana we paid for. There did not seem to be any system in place to ensure security or monitor reserved spaces.Service throughout the hotel felt unfriendly and disengaged. At the hotel restaurant, the bartender sat on the floor using his phone between customers and had to be waved down for service.Overall, this stay was disappointing due to poor management, lack of oversight, and inattentive service. While the kids had fun at the waterpark, the overall experience did not meet expectations. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore, responded to this review Thank you for sharing such a detailed review with us, 857kendraw. We are truly sorry to hear your stay left you with so many frustrations, from the condition of certain spaces to the challenges you faced with our service at the waterpark and restaurant. Your comments about your guest room’s cleanliness, along with your experience with the cabana rental and the attentiveness of our team members, concern us deeply. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to encounter lapses in organization and service throughout the property. Your feedback will be routed to our Guest Relations, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and waterpark management teams for careful review. We are grateful you took the time to detail what did not go as it should have.Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. We appreciate the chance to learn from your experience.

    Horrible deteriorated motel

    rating27 Feb 2026

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. Booked a family trip to water park should have known better! Built in 1973 and shows every minute of it. Rooms are gross and outdated, hallways filthy. Restaurant if you can even call it that had one server and one bartender on a Saturday during school vacation. Arrived to check in to 6 police cruisers out front, followed by them in the parking lot all night clearly looking for someone. Rooms on level 2 are stairs only no elevator: they allow dogs that bark all day and night, place is more a motel than a Hilton hotel. Disgusting General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston North Shore, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, 884rosso. We are truly sorry your family’s visit left you feeling so disappointed, especially given the impression your visit left. The conditions and atmosphere you described are a far stretch from the environment our team works to provide, and your comments about your guest room, the public areas, and the overall sense of safety are deeply concerning.Your feedback is being directed to our housekeeping, engineering, and Guest Relations teams so we can review what may have occurred and address the concerns you encountered.
