Location

The resort lies a 1-hour drive south of Miami, in 11 hectares of grounds with its own private beach.

Facility

138 rooms and 65 suites are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by a lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The resort has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Film lovers are sure to find just what they're looking for in the cinema's listings. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area. Daily newspapers are available for purchase. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, central heating and a fan. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. The kitchenette comes with a refrigerator, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and bathrobes are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, golf and fishing. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as canoeing, catamaraning, kayaking and snorkelling. For a fee, guests can also enjoy windsurfing, sailing and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards and yoga. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and live music.

Meals

Dining facilities include a non-smoking restaurant, a café and a bar. A wide variety of dishes are served at all three main mealtimes. Guests can enjoy lunch and dinner as a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and picnics are available.

    Fun little golf course for family. Beautiful grounds. Don't expect to be severed beverages around the pool - odd for a property at this level (this was not the first visit with this problem)

    Extremely disappointing and stressful stay

    We stayed here for my son’s birthday and I let the hotel know ahead of time. I also reminded them again at check in. There was not a single acknowledgment of his birthday during our entire stay. No balloon, no note, not even one kind word. My son ended up in tears, which was heartbreaking.The room was disgustingly dirty. The bathroom had mold and black buildup behind fixtures and in the corners, and there were dead bugs and signs of mold throughout the room. The lobby smelled strongly of sewage or toilet water, which made the whole place feel even worse.On top of all of that, my credit card was overcharged by $2,000. My credit card company cancelled the card because they thought it was fraud, which put a huge strain on our family during the trip. We were told the money and charges would be corrected within 24 hours, but it has now been two days and nothing has been returned. There has also been no real acknowledgment of the hotel’s mistakes or the stress they caused.This was supposed to be a special birthday trip for my son, and instead it turned into a terrible experience. If you want to suffer and be treated terribly, this is definitely the place to go.     We came here to celebrate our 25 wedding anniversary. We will not be staying here anytime soon.We stayed here in March at one of their 1 BR lock off rooms near the spa. We loved it and booked our anniversary trip.We checked in last Monday and were not able to relax at all until 10 pmOur internet was horrible. It was spotty. Worked inside, then didn’t. Worked outside then didn’t. That’s not a five star resort amenity.The seaweed smell was awful. Sewage and sulfur wrapped in one. They raked it to get it out, but I think this may have made it smell worse. Through all of the smell, we were sooooooooo happy to come back to our casita to find our Housekeeper kept the door open on the patio while she was cleaning. Took at least an hour to dissipate the smell of the rotting seaweed. Taylor and Elijah were our highlights of the trip. They were phenomenal. The only time we had the nice towels on the chairs at the pool were when Elijah was working. We appreciated him so very much, he is a true asset.Mr. Devine was not as engaged, and sadly service lacked when he was on duty.Also, if you do stay here, the house keeping staff waters down the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. This is holiday inn type stuff. I am thankful to Taylor for have upgrading us from a resort view casita to a beach casita, but this is not a true 5 star experience…at all. I wish I had the $10,000 back and stayed home.     Good visit, but not Great like previous stay.

    Our room in the new building has a strong musty smell, and no one ever showed up (as promised) to address the issue. Disappointing since we have stayed here before, and never had a negative experience at all. Lots of good with this resort though. Just did not have the best experience this visit with the accommodations, or the value of what we had to pay for the first night of our visit.
