  This review is for Villa 5, as there are various rental villas on property. This villa is in a great location, midway between Key Largo & Key West, with many services and opportunities there in Marathon. It has up and down decks & a nice view onto the canal. However, you should be aware that view comes with a lack of privacy, as your neighbors on both sides (the villas are attached by common walls) are very close with only short railings between units.We had several issues during our week rental. The 1st was the heating system did not work on arrival, a particularly cold day. Mgmt was informed immediately, but it took about 24 hours to fix. The repairman indicated that it had not been turned on since last year. The villa's cleaning & inspection regimen apparently did not include the HVAC system. Note that you are dealing with a property mgmt company, not the villa owner, and neither is on-site. The same day we discovered the electric grill was not working That was fixed but again took some time to be addressed. Additionally, we found that there was nothing provided to cook in the oven-no broiler pan, cookie sheet or the like. That complaint was never rectified. Finally, the fridge died 1 day. In that case mgmt made special effort to replace the same day.In sum, nice place, nice location, could use a little more speedy attention to problems that arise. It's typical for appliances to have rare issues, but, unfortunately, these problems coincided during your stay. As you mentioned, we put great effort into addressing issues as soon as they arise, contacting a licensed HVAC technician for service and replacing the refrigerator within a day of receiving the reports while you were here. Hopefully, should you decide to return to the Keys, we'll have the opportunity to provide you with the same excellent quality of stay we strive to provide all our guests.

  BEWARE BLACK MOLD!!!!

  BEWARE BLACK MOLD!!!!! Would not recommend if you enjoy breathing. Was very sick our entire stay. On the last day my husband discovered back mold in our bathroom vent. This vent spread out to the entire upstairs. Called the management and they told me why didn’t you call before and let us know...? Responded to them that if I would of know why we were sick from the black mold I would of let you know sooner. Instead of being sick and not able to breathe our entire trip. Then Astrid the manager wanted to argue with me that there wasn’t black and that mold wasn’t present..... even after I sent them pictures and videos. Checkout was at 11. We still had food and items in the room and the house keeper came at 10:35 while we were out filleting fish and threw away over $100 in food from the fridge.

  Beautiful view. It was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The starter kit they give you is perfect amount of towels, soaps, tp, coffee filters, laundry soap, and snacks. The location is perfect if you plan to spend time in the middle keys. it was only an hour druve for us to spend a half day in key west. we will absolute be back. whoever left the review about villa 5 making it sound like a nightmare was wrong...thank goodness. thr carpet on the stairs are worn but who cares!! everything else was clean and perfect 👌. The community pool is close by too. Very short walk for a really nice pool. parking was also easy and it was so fun admiring boats parked in the marina.   The place is amazing. Quite, tranquil, clean, great access to your boat. My problem is the marina has nothing to do with the villas itself. They treat you very unkind, the 1 guy wanted to get in my face because I ask him why are you ignoring me. Needless to say I will not stay here again for this reason unless I come back without my boat. Several people was complaining.

  We stayed in condo #10. Key pickup was easy even though we had a late arrival and locating the property was easy as well. The condo was very nice with all the amenities you need. As stated in the rental information you will need additional paper products and it is required that you start a load of laundry and linens upon departing so plan ahead with laundry detergent and paper products. The pool was really nice and usually not very busy. Great stay!
