    Inhabitable

    rating23 Mar 2026

Worst hotel experience of my life! Unbelievably filthy dirty and couldn’t even shower because there was a little hot water and barely any water pressure. I had to leave the next morning and find another place to stay for the week. Even the grounds were littered with trash. No response from calling the “on call” maintenance / service personnel. Windows and drapes had to be closed tight because the bath and main room are in clear view of anyone walking by. The furniture was uncomfortable, old, and it was literally sticky. It is mind-blowing that there are actually a few good reviews for this inhabitable resort.

    A COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT

    rating14 Oct 2025

If I could give a zero I would. Avoid this place! Where to begin. We arrive shortly after 4:00 pm on Monday, Oct 13, 2025, for our 3 night stay. There was no one to greet us, just a couple of flyer on the front door with 3 different phone numbers to call for help. One number was disconnected. The room key was in a lockbox. The gal that eventually answered the phone gave me the code. No ID check or nothing. And the key has the room # and hotel name on it. Very dangerous. The room itself was adequate. Nothing fancy about the level of a motel 6. Maybe. The next morning I get a call from the a hotel employee saying we were supposed to be checked out by 11:00 am. WE WERE BOOKED FOR THREE NIGHTS. We return to our room after dinner around 7:00 pm and found our room hadn’t been cleaned. No fresh towels or coffee. Now the guy who called us about checking out had been in our room. You think he’d have cleaned it! We never saw the front desk open and not an employee one.I went to the office at 9:00 am this morning after just two nights stay, and still no staff available. I called the hotel number listed by Hotel Tonight and left a message to state our disappointment with our stay and to say we are checking out a day early. Again, if I could give this place a zero, I would!

    WORST HOTEL EVER

    rating22 Jul 2025

Disgusting conditions - they steal your moneyWhat we experienced here was absolutely revolting. Walking into a room with stranger's shoes kicked under our bed, finding hair all over our sheets and sink - it made us feel sick. When we complained, they made us wait nearly an hour just to give us another filthy room with garbage left behind and dirt everywhere you looked. We couldn't stay in such a disgusting place and had to scramble to find somewhere else to sleep.Three months of lies and theftThey've been stealing our money for over three months now. Every trick in the book:Won't take calls when booking sites try to reach themKeep making up fake "computer problems"Reception staff look you in the eye and lie about getting your money back "soon"They planned this whole thing to wait out the review periodIt's pure theft disguised as a hotel business.Save yourself - don't book hereThese people will take your money, give you a disease-ridden room, then refuse to give you back a penny. Find literally anywhere else to stay.

    Pleasantly surprised

    rating12 Jul 2025

We have recently just returned home from our stay at the Creekside Inn and had a great time. I have to admit after reading some bad reviews I was concerned about our decision but as our stay was for over a week in the area, budget was obviously something of a concern. The Creekside prices worked for us so we decided to take our chances! Our room was large with plenty of space for us all (we were traveling with our teen daughters), It was clean and comfortable, had a very welcome strong AC, plenty of dresser and hanging space, a full size refrigerator, large microwave, a descent size counter along side the microwave, and clean and functional bathroom complete with complementary shampoos and body lotions etc etc. The bed mattresses are firm but everyone slept really well our entire stay. We paid extra for a waterside room and that was definitely worth it - and I would strongly recommend requesting a ground floor room if possible - we had a nice sized dining table out on the deck area in front of our room and we ate many breakfasts and dinners there, enjoyed lots of conversations with our neighbors and hotel staff and did some creek fishing just steps from our door. The creek, as many others have mentioned is a real treat in itself, we saw parrot fish, a nurse shark, manatees, and an enormous barracuda, as well as many sunbathing iguanas, geckos a friendly, if opportunistic, white heron! There are two pools, a fire pit and grills available for use, a kayak to borrow and a pass to get into Founders Park for free. Honestly the best way to find out all the hotel has to offer is to talk to the staff. Ronny, Amy, Sherry and Beulah are all wonderful and we shared so many good laughs with them.I’m sad to hear the rumors of the Creekside closing or being sold ….I’m not sure if that’s a done deal or not. To address directly some of the negative reviews, was the hotel completely brand new and sparkling? No of course it is not and there’s definitely signs of age and wear and tear all over. The hotel’s second building to our north had caution tape and a ‘do not pass’ sign that was a bit of an eyesore and would have marred staying at that end of the property. But staff were keeping on top of the garbage, hosing down the patio areas and keeping the us stocked with towels without any problems. Maybe our room allocation was particularly fortunate and perhaps a different room would have left an entirely different impression, but ground floor of the South building was good. With the layout alongside the creek, you are a little at the mercy of your immediate neighbors as to what your experience might be. During the course of our stay we had families, fishermen and partiers all stay close by but it all worked out just fine.If you want an exclusive, pristine boutique resort experience, this is not it. (But I think the price tag alone would tell you that). If you are looking for a convenient home base, with a giant supermarket close by and many nearby restaurants and cafes, having chats with staff and neighbors, kicking back and enjoying the views, Creekside might be perfect for you.! Thanks Creekside, it was fun! Ronny Yagual, General Manager at Creekside Inn, responded to this review Dear DeborahSNY,Thank you so much for your positive feedback and for highlighting the amenities you enjoyed about our property.
