  Stairs at the Westwinds!

  Ah the Westwinds Hotel. So much to say. It's a good location on Eaton Street. First, the property is undergoing upgrades to the grounds. Loose brick walkways, etc. It's going to be lovely once it's done. There are two pools. The larger L shaped pool is where breakfast is served. It's a continental breakfast so there's something for everyone. The staff are friendly and do what they can to help. That said! There's a lot that a potential guest needs to know. We stayed in room 405. It is very small. Not big enough for a small chair. Just a king sized bed, three dressers, a small Fridge and a wall mounted TV. The bathroom is fully updated and clean. To reach room 405 you must walk up a steep and narrow stairway. There are no elevators. The first night, my husband and I were treated to a very loud, verbal argument followed by stomping up and down the stairs by guests in room 401. The room doesn't have any sound insulation. At all. The door to the room doesn't even connect with the side jam. The paint colors are lovely though and the floors very nice. If you're going to stay at the Westwinds, request a ground floor room if you're not into walking up and down stairs. Otherwise it's a good value. Eaton Street Fish Market is just down the block. Worth it!

  Our happy place!

  We love the Westwinds Inn. We have stayed here three times now. This time, we were in a newly renovated room. It was very nice and spotlessly clean. It was nice to have the happy hour Wednesday to Friday which was new since we were last there. The pools are great. The breakfast is adequate-yogurt, muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, juice. Easy walking or bike riding anywhere. We can’t wait to stay here again.

  Tropical Oasis!

  This hotel offers lovely grounds around the rooms and pools. Very tropical and quaint. Breakfast each morning was attended by Consuela when we were there. She was so pleasant and even remembered our names the next day. Good coffee and nice continental breakfast offering. Our rooms was recently renovated, was clean and was very nice with coffee, fridge and microwave in the room. Housekeeping was wonderful. The best I've had since pre-covid. They came every day, made up the bed and brought fresh towels and soaps, etc. Convenient parking area for bicycles and scooters. We will stay here again!

  Good location in quiet street

  The good. This is a quaint inn set in lush tropical gardens. The rooms are small, but you have everything you need. One cold pool and one 'heated' pool. It's in a quiet area within a 5 minute walk to trolley stop 2 and all the harbor front.The bad. Experience with guest check in needs to be improved. There was no greeting, no welcome and after a long journey we felt like we were an inconvenience to the check in clerk. The ugly. Being critical and at $480 per night, the bathroom (ours anyway) could do with an overhaul. The toilet rocked, the grout on the flooring needs a good steam clean, broken wood/concrete on the shower frame. We walked to Harpoon Harry's for a cooked breakfast so did not experience the light breakfast option offered.(juice, muffins etc)

  Westwinds was our home away from home! The team took great care of us from Marcelle at the front desk, to the lovely woman working the breakfast area, to the housekeepers.
