    Not so grand

    On a positive note; the bed was comfortable. Sadly, that's where the positive ended. Everything was shabby, dirty or missing altogether. After a grueling 12 hour day of travel we had to find a room for the night when other reservations didn't work out. This hotel was reasonably priced and had a room available. The bed had a dirty, stained duvet with no cover and a couple of sorry little pillows. When I called to request a couple more pillows I was informed that they had no access to housekeeping and I "would have to wait until tomorrow ". There was one bath towel in the bathroom and no hand towels. The shower curtain was stained and too short to keep water from running out on the floor. The tub was dirty as well. There was a coffee maker but no cups or coffee. The commode seat squeaked like a door in a haunted house and the bathroom door hit the front of the commode when opening or closing it. Everything was stained and/or rusty. What a sorry excuse for a hotel!

    Over an hour wait to check in, even though it was 11:15p.m at night. During the process the attendance was trying to charge us "resort fee" of $26.00 for two nights instead of for the one night stay. Despite the fact that we were showing confirmation for the one night, the attendance called over her colleague who also refused to check our confirmation but yelled and blurted out in front of other guest that she can "denied us service". It took another 45 minutes to reach our booking company so that they could confirmed that we are booked for only one night. In all it took an hour and half to checked us in this undesirable place!!

    The pictures are far from reality. The pool area was the only acurate picture. It was so disappointing. Dirty, old, the lock didn't work.

    We paid over $200 for a room with a king-size bed and the room was not in a good condition. All the drawers of the dresser and cabinets were all opened when we arrived. It was supposed to have a hair-dryer but did not. The walls were gouged out in the bathroom with metal sticking out where outlets would have gone. The room was dirty. There were train tracks right outside our room and we could hear the train for a majority of the night. The sheets on the bed were very flimsy and the fitted sheet over the mattress kept coming out. We only stayed one night but for $200 per night, we expected much better than this. We will never stay at this hotel again. The only part that was nice was the lobby. The checkin/checkout staff were very friendly.
