Free exfoliation and odd fridge placement.

    rating15 Mar 2026

Where do we start? First, make sure you read the recent reviews. I arrived late in the evening and was greeted by a Photobooth looking device with a touchscreen and an operator based somewhere other than the LaQuinta I was checking into. The virtual attendant asked if I had any cats or dogs. I didn’t, no lorikeets, pet squirrels, or mini gators either for that matter. The lobby clearly had seen better days with cracked tiles and dingy paint throughout. The counter, strewn with discarded towels and room keys, didn’t boost my confidence. Fast forward to the room. Keep in mind it’s late so it’s dark outside. I found a light switch on the wall and flicked it on. Nothing. I flicked it off and back on for effect, imagining someone somewhere with a tv connected to it since it was clearly not connected to anything in the room. After turning on the flashlight app on my phone, I navigated over to a bedside table and found a source of illumination. The light revealed an aged room with the standard two double beds and a tv on a dresser/credenza combo. The room also had the requisite mini fridge. This one had a dent in the top so big it possibly was caused by Morgan Wallen tossing it off the roof. Noticeably, almost every outlet was removed and covered with blanks which brings us back to the fridge. Since there were no outlets in the room the fridge was located adjacent to the sink plugged in to the same outlet as the hair dryer. The bed was comfy enough, but the sheets were a blend of polyester, cotton, and sandpaper. My feet were exfoliated while I slept, so there’s a positive. The shower was designed for people under 5 foot tall. Water pressure was good, not high enough to strip paint off a fender but sufficient to rinse soap and shampoo. Similar to the shower, the towels were also designed for a smaller person. They were also nearly transparent. Much like the bedsheets the towels also added to my skincare routine by providing some exfoliating power. Being cost-conscious I sought to take advantage of the free breakfast offered by the hotel (really a motel since the rooms open to a courtyard). The lobby was not prepped for breakfast, I didn’t even see coffee. I asked the morning attendant (SURPRISE there was someone on site) about breakfast. He disappeared after saying something incomprehensible under his breath and returned with a brown paper bag, reminiscent of a packed school lunch. I wondered if there was a can of Coke wrapped in foil in the bottom. I passed on the breakfast and went to Keke’s which was delicious by the way. Thank you Keke for brightening up my stay. This brings us to the crescendo of the review. If you are looking for an inexpensive room for the night in a zero frills place where the air conditioning constantly blows the curtains open, and you don’t mind checking in with a touchscreen, this is for you. If you want a more personal touch, an actual breakfast, or towels that don’t shred your epidermis, seek out another option, literally any other option.

    Don't stay here

The most disguting hotel I've ever stayed at. One guy struggling to man the desk, a useless kiosk with a representative from India in the lobby. The room next to mine didn't even have a number on the door?? I planned this vacation back in September and had to rearrange and spend a last minute 500$ to get a different hotel. Cleaners were cleaning every room but they were still nasty?? Are they just pretending?? This place needs to be shut down immediately.
