  Moldy musty smelling rooms. There was a very loud argument at 4 am one of the nights we stayed. Easy access for any transient homeless person to wander into the property. Felt unsafe. It was a bad experience.

  Do not stay at this hotel. Booked four rooms for my husband and our kids. We were moved four times because of MOLD. Musty disgusting smelling rooms. 106, 216, 316. That’s how many rooms we were moved into and out because of musty smelling rooms and mold. My son’s room had roaches! We complained to hotel they didn’t believe us. Homeless people walk freely on property. One night was so bad, a homeless man went knocking on each door during middle of night. This happened three times during our stay. My kids were at the pool and were approached several times. My young teenage daughter and I were at the pool and a man was staring from the balcony of the third floor. I asked him to please stop staring. He continued by saying “ I’ve lived here for three months, I can do what I want” then blew her a kiss. These are the kinds of disgusting people at this hotel. Do not stay here.

  Don’t stay here if you care for your belongings.

  Sadly we had our belongings stolen from our room and manager did everything to avoid us and refused to help. Hotel was nice but the lack of care about our belongings was shocking. Would avoid at all cost! The room keeper came in our room on a day it wasn’t scheduled which is when we had our stuff stolen.   Very relaxing. GREAT location. Friendly front desk and maintenence and housekeeping staff!!

  Was a welcoming experience, the front desk girl, April was very kind and professional. Making sure everything was accurate. And all the details were done right. Had no trouble finding my room which is a large king size bed, with a nice couch, and window overlooking the hotels on the beach. And the street. I was right by the elevator, which I was nervous being it'd be noisy, but the entire stay, 3 day weekend, I barely heard anyone just a few people maybe walking to their rooms and door opening and closing. ( only downside of the room was the air conditioning was a bit loud. But kept the room at a nice temperature once I got it the way I liked it. Bathroom is a bit small and dark, for my taste, but it worked fine for it's functions. Housekeeping is upon request only, which I didn't mind, because I just came back each day and wasn't bothered at all. Requested the maintenance staff to check the coffee maker and fridge. And each time they arrived quickly and with a smile and got right to it. And showed me how the coffee maker worked. And made the mini fridge/ cooler as cold as it can be so I will have fresh food during my stay. Overall, cleanliness was nice. I bring my own shampoo and soap, but it was nice they had there in the bathroom. The maintenance staff son and dad team were excellent assistance. And such friendly people. It's nice the hotel hires family members working together. Front desk staff were always so friendly and the manager was so kind and helpful and always checking in on you as you passed by, even if she was busy. I didn't use their beach chairs, but I enjoyed the pool area every day. Was nice and quiet there. The front desk welcome area is nice and cozy, with snacks and things you may have forgotten for sale, and drinks and a coffee machine for purchase. They have a small outdoor reception area where you can sit and wait for your Uber. They are also connected to the hotel next door ocean beach club which the layout is very different than the ocean beach palace but same great service. They even have a car rental too, which I did not need. Or use. You can use both pools if you'd like. The front desk April and Diego ( spelling?) Were very friendly. And the others too. I dont recall all their names. Anything I needed was met with a smile and made sure it was taken care of right away. The ONLY downside I had was the tv wasn't the greatest, but their free wifi worked well and I just used my own laptop anyway. Had no issue being near the elevator, I barely heard anyone hanging out there in the indoor hallway or the elevator at all. Hotel housekeeping staff were friendly and provided you with what you needed with a smile. And respected your late checkout too. I was not rushed out or bothered at all. Thank you for that. Thank you for a wonderful, and very RELAXING stay ... everyone was so friendly and smiling. And they enjoyed being there. The other guests were respectful and it was a very pleasant quiet weekend stay. Thinking of coming again for the next holiday.   Not exactly as expected, but very clean with fantastic pool.

  There are pros and cons of our stay here. Our room was one of the updated suites but it was still disappointing. There was no phone in the room so if you needed to call the front desk you had to go through the phone tree to get service. Housekeeping was good when we requested it, but they failed to refill our toilet paper or tissues so we had to go to the office to replenish these items as well as getting extra washcloths since they only gave us one for two people. The bathroom was the smallest ever and nothing like the online pictures. There was a tub, freestanding sink and toilet crowded together. There were no towel holders to hang used hand towels and only one hook for bath towels. There was no ventilation in the bathroom unless you opened the window which had no screen. The clothes rod in the closet was at the top of the closet, at least a 7' height so we were unable to reach it to hang our clothes since neither of us was over 5'4" tall. There were only three drawers for clothes so we pretty much just lived out of our suitcases.When they say it is a short walk to the beach, it is quite an exaggeration. You have to walk across a double highway, through a small strip mall and then through the private hotels to get to the beach. Otherwise, you drive about ten minutes and pay for parking so you can walk to the beach.On the plus side, the pool was wonderful and the sitting areas were great. The people at the desk were very helpful and friendly. They kept the pool area and all of the outside areas very clean. There is a resident Iguana, but definitely not aggressive. He pretty much just hung around his palm tree. Parking was easy and we felt safe since we saw security walking around at night. We had a full kitchen which was very nice. A toaster would have been a plus for fixing some toast in the morning, but not a deal breaker. They also provide pool towels and beach chairs which was very nice.So, to sum it up I would say the room is average but the pool area is definitely well above average! The only reason I didn't give it four stars is because of the cramped bathroom.
