    Great beach, resort

    rating29 Jul 2026

The king suite with gulf view was great and highly recommend. Some disappoints were this is a 12 story resort but the restaurant does not open for breakfast, you use a lunch wagon for a cinnamon roll. Went to this nice restaurant and the menu is almost all shell fish items, which I am allergic to, so I ordered salmon. Received a nice size piece which was tooRAW. I like all my meats, including fish cooked. Also, the waiter forgot my drink AND forgot our bread. I still left a 20% tip.The next night decided to try the Cabana, with terrible music. I had the Cuban which was about the only thing I could eat. It was like a McDonald’s at an extra price. Asked at the desk if there were other places to eat and she said there were many within walking distance. Guess she considered 3 miles within walking distance, I am 79 yo and to me 1000 ft is walking diy.The pool was. Really nice and the beach is beyond compare, just wish it was opened later with the lounges.Well worth the money but plan ahead for your meals to eat elsewhere

    Overpriced For What It Was

    rating13 Jul 2026

The room was clean and the location was wonderful, having the beachside suite overlooking the Gulf with direct access to the water was great. The restaurant had delicious food and I loved how private the rooms were. But I was disappointed with the rest. The rooms were well worn, with scratches and dents on the walls, old appliances, linen and couches. Also housekeeping only came in once during our 5 day stay to empty the trash and take dirty towels and linen, that was all, no cleaning or making the beds. We had to request new bed sheets and make the beds ourselves. The front desk was also unreliable, there were times during the day when I would go down or call to ask for more towels and toilet paper, but they would forget so later in the evening I would have to call again to remind them and then someone would bring the items up to the room. Also the kitchenettes only have a mini fridge and a microwave, no oven or stove so you can’t cook any actual meals, just reheat leftovers or buy frozen meals to microwave. At least the kitchenette had utensils and dinnerware. Overall I’d say that this is more of a “classy motel”, so not terrible but also nowhere near the kind of quality that deserves the label “resort” and it’s barely even a hotel.Especially since for the same price, we realized that we should have stayed somewhere else that was not walking distance from the beach, but at least had the usual hotel amenities of daily housekeeping, reliable front desk and a fully functional kitchenette - or skip the kitchenette and just have a nicer room. But we decided to give this place a try since we thought the word “resort” meant an all inclusive luxury experience and this was the opposite of that. I wish the website was more honest about what to expect, since while it can be good for some people’s needs, we had higher expectations so we felt like we’ve been scammed.

    Perfect summer beach stay!

    rating28 Jun 2026

Had a phenomenal stay at Diamondhead last week. The room was spotless and everything was in great condition, all appliances and facilities worked perfectly with no issues at all - just lovely. Spending time out on the balcony in the shade was a delight, especially since I’m an artist and it had a table and chairs that were perfect for outdoor sketching/breakfast/coffee in the mornings. I also want to especially thank Michael, who was working at the front desk when I checked in and not only was extremely kind and friendly, but also helped me have the best possible stay by making sure I was in a quiet room with a perfect view after I shared that I was there taking some much-needed time for rest. I’m so grateful for Michael and the whole team at Diamondhead, and can’t wait to stay again!

Recommendation of a Front Desk Agent!

    rating12 May 2026

I would like to compliment a Front Desk Agent named Vicki Rodgers. We stayed at the Hotel for 10 days and got back to Chicago yesterday, May 12, 2026.She was not only friendly but very kind during our stay. Her Boss should give her a "High Achievement Award" for being a hard worker at this very nice Hotel!Thank you,Sue McIntosh
