Long Weekend in Flag
25 May 2026
This had to have been one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had with BW and I am a diamond select member, so top tier, spend a lot of nights and money with the brand. Given that I had booked with Priceline because it was significantly cheaper, the property didn't give me any acknowledgement when I mentioned I was a DS member, in fact the front desk staff were both super rude. This hotel might look nice on the outside, but the room I stayed in was run down, the shower title was broken and the shower head didn't line up, leaving a large hole, which is tacky. The linens were old and super thin and dingy, didn't look white, more greyish. It seems when hotels are not managed correctly, it shows. Another great example of unhappy staff is listening to the breakfast staff complain about management and how they never provide enough support. When I spoke to the women I asked them if this was the norm and you could tell by their look it was, how sad. Also, stayed 3 nights and no housekeeping, not even light. Sadly I will not stay at this property ever again, Flag has too many other great options all close by. Scott Grams, General Manager at Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and, most importantly, thank you for your loyalty as a Best Western Diamond Select member. We truly value the many nights you choose to spend with our brand, and I am very sorry that your experience with us did not reflect the level of service and quality you rightfully expect and deserve.I sincerely apologize for the condition of your room, the issues you encountered with the shower and linens, and especially for the lack of hospitality you experienced from our front desk team. Your comments regarding housekeeping consistency and the atmosphere surrounding our breakfast staff are equally concerning and certainly not the impression we want any guest to leave with.We understand how disappointing it is when a stay falls short in multiple areas, particularly for one of our most loyal guests. Please know your feedback is being taken seriously and will be shared directly with our leadership team for immediate review and improvement. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you further about your stay. Please feel free to contact our General Manager, Scott Grams, directly at your convenience so we can better address your concerns and work toward restoring your confidence in our property.Again, thank you for your candid feedback and for being a valued Best Western Diamond Select member.

Small, Uncomfortable but BEST breakfast
16 Apr 2026
This Best Western has the smallest room ever. The bed was lumpy, squeaky and very uncomfortable. The only nice thing about this hotel is the breakfast. They had fresh fruit and pancakes. One thing the hotel has no control over is there is a train that goes by every 20 to 25 minutes. BW_PonySoldier, at Best Western Pony Soldier Inn & Suites, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations, particularly regarding the room size and bed comfort. We do have other alternatives to our smaller single queen rooms, such as the larger 2 queen room or our 1 king room. Your comments are important to us, and we will be addressing these concerns with our team as we continuously work to improve our guest experience. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the breakfast, especially the fresh fruit and pancakes—that’s something we take pride in providing for our guests.Regarding the nearby train, we understand that this can be disruptive for some guests, even though it is outside of our control. For future stays, we encourage guests to reach out to us directly, as we may be able to recommend room locations that are less affected by outside noise.Best, Scott Grams - General Manager

Old school cool with modern amenities
17 Mar 2026
We were taking a Best Western themed road trip and this didn't disappoint. This one has been thoughtfully updated without ruining the mid-century architecture and vibe. Our king suite was two rooms reconfigured to include a sleeper sofa in a "living room" with a second TV and full bath. Loved that they kept the vintage tile. How refreshing to go somewhere that recognizes the cool class of vintage eras.Free breakfast was included and was in a separate building that was probably a former restaurant. It was spacious and pleasant. There's also an indoor pool.

Bekki is amazing!!!
15 Feb 2026
Bekki at the front desk is AMAZING!!! She was so polite and helpful from the very moment I entered the lobby to inquire about the family suite to stay for the night. We unfortunately couldn’t stay as we were planning because it sold out fast, but I do recommend this hotel because of the great customer service I received from her and I wasn’t even a guest! I hope to be back one day :) thank you so much from the bottom of my heart Bekki! <3
