  What a fun time we had staying here with our two kids- 4 and 6. Really nice, clean rooms and good atmosphere. Friendly staff. The train ride was so fun and the staff does an incredible job with it. Definitely recommend!

  I felt very comfortable at Grand Canyon Hotel. Grounds were impeccable! Staff, everywhere were very friendly and welcoming. Our dome car on the railway was wonderful and the entertainment was delightful! Yummy snacks and enjoyed the bubbly!

  Overall, a great hotel and location. Rooms are small and could use better amenities. WiFi was pretty much unusable for our 3 day stay, either too slow or couldn't even get online, rejected to connect. Rooms could use better refrigerators, not cold. A safe in room for valuables would be a great modern addition.

  I took my two granddaughters 13-15 on the train ride. We stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway hotel the night before ((glad we did that), we were driving from Chandler. We arrived to this lodge like hotel, very nice! We were greeted with smiles and an eagerness to accommodate us. The rooms were very nice and extremely clean (big plus) We went first class on the train so glad we did that. The cowboy show before the train ride was not so good…speakers were extremely bad, could not hear, very poor quality. Would not do that again, unfortunately!!! Once on the train it was a very special experience. We had our pictures taken by a photographer and she brought them to us on our way back. They were nice photos, outrageously expensive, with no discount for additional pics. I would have purchased one of them only the woman had a very bad attitude, not helpful at all. I was disappointed I didn’t get one however, with her attitude I was not going to support that! Our experience at the Grand Canyon Rim was much fun! The girls and I loved the front porch, rocking chairs. The restaurant, El Tavor, was very special…loved our time there. The Canyon was quite spectacular, WOW! Our 2nd night stay was at the Maswik…I would never do that again. The rooms were not clean, it was sketchie, the door lock was busted (scary), the air conditioning was not up to par. The length of distance from the main lodge was not walking distance for us…we had to get a taxi. Had I known about the El Tavor hotel, we would have stayed there. The agent that helped me book never even mentioned this hotel as an option, maswik was the only one I knew to be there. Over all I loved this trip with my grandchildren and so did they!

  We stayed there one night and road the train the next day. The hotel was better than I expected- clean comfortable and convenient. The Fred Harvey restaurant provided a very good breakfast. I would gladly stay there again.
