Beautiful views. Beautiful room. The friendliest staff anywhere. Check in was confusing as it happens in the el Tovar, parking is tough as the spots are scattered over the property of 3 hotels, and the one way roads were a learning curve- but once that’s done it’s unbeatable. Amazing view of wonder of the world

Steps from the canyon rim. Elk and Bighorn Sheep outside. Parking is first come first served, but drop off luggage and car and use highly efficient busses to get around.Good price for clean, no frills room with world’s most incredible view!Nice shared lounge room with couches and games.Decent food options in the village. Service spoils the view

Firstly, what an absolutely stunning location. We had the most wonderful view from our room. The good stuff ends there.When we arrived the reception made a point of providing the hotels WIFI log- in details. We got to the room and could not connect. We called reception who said the WIFi was temporarily down but should be working by 6pm. By 8pm it was still not working so I called the 24hr WIFi helpline who explained that the service had been down since the day before and they did not know when it would be available. The next day we spoke to reception again, who said it would be available within the hour which turned out to be another completely inaccurate and unreliable statement. My husband and daughter ended up having to do urgent lap-top work in the public library a mile away. After 48 hours WIFi staying at the hotel service had not been restored. We appreciate that problems occur but having staff who mislead and don’t provide a quality of service is incredibly disappointing and lets the hotel down. Be honest with guests so they can better work around such issues. Finally, as many others have said, the rooms were dated and poorly cleaned - see pictures of the dust on the toilet roll holder and above the bed where another guest had run their fingers.
