Location

This hotel enjoys one of the nicest locations in Waikiki, close to shopping, Kapiolani Park and near to all the sights of Waikiki. It lies directly across the street from world-famous Waikiki Beach, a 20-minute drive from Hanauma Bay and half an hour by car from Pearl Harbor.

Facility

837 non-smoking rooms, including 9 suites and 614 double rooms, are located on 38 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, translation services, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry, a page service and a hotel shuttle bus. Bicycles can be kept in the bicycle storage area (for a fee). Complimentary newspapers are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. A balcony is among the standard amenities of some rooms. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. A variety of activities such as cycling/mountain biking, golf and horse riding or, for a fee, tennis, are offered at the hotel. Water sports available at the hotel include windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and aquafit. Sport and leisure options include yoga or, for a fee, a gym and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. The hotel offers plenty of activities and entertainment options, including a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a café and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at 2 restaurants (non-smoking, air conditioning and high chairs). A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals, gluten-free meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    This property has everything, It is close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The room was a great size, air conditioning worked well and it was clean and felt safe. Our only complaint on this property was the noise level coming from the pool area if you faced that direction. Most of the times, when there was going to be music on the pool deck, we were informed of the start and finishing times (but not every time) but not once did the music end when they said it was going to. This included a very loud nightclub style pool party. We loved this property but this made us question whether we would book here again.

    Location is amazing, amenities and overall great resort. Where it is lacking--a little run down rooms and a big issue for me not being clean. also the rental items that are available you have to walk 3 blocks to get them and carry yourself down to the beach (which is across the street if you want to stay in the lagoon area only. Also there was a DJ party with some outside hotel promotional even that had questionable audience and was not appropriate to use the pool with the kids during the day.     Unacceptable security breach and zero accountability

    One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, especially for a “5 star” property.I stayed at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach on 1 January and paid around USD $650 for one night. Check in staff were dismissive and unfriendly from the start.Within about 15 minutes of checking in, an unknown man walked straight into my room with a key. As a woman travelling alone, this made me feel extremely unsafe. After that, reception called asking if I was “a guest” and told me to come downstairs to verify myself, despite the fact I had just checked in. Being questioned like I was an intruder immediately after a stranger entered my room was completely unacceptable.I raised this directly with the hotel and through Booking.com and received no response. The hotel later publicly replied to my Google review asking me to email guest services, and I emailed multiple times, but still received absolutely no response. Their public replies are ONLY for show, not real customer care, and they clearly do not care about providing any resolution even after a serious safety breach.A serious security failure, poor handling, and then complete silence. Do not stay here.

    The reception looks amazing but the rooms are not 5-star. The linen was basic and the mounted bathroom product on the wall felt like a 3-star hotel.
