    Lousy Hotel Not Worthy of Marriott Name

    This place is an absolute dump. We had a long flight from San Francisco and arrived late evening. The desk agent, Maynard, was very pleasant and gave us our room keys. When we entered our room, there was no a/c running, so we tried to turn on the wall unit. It did not respond. We called the desk, and Maynard sent someone up to check it, that was unsuccessful. We were moved to a different room, and the a/c was off. We turned it on, it ran for about 20 seconds, and quit. We asked Maynard to check us out no charge. We took a cab to the Marriott Beach Resort and checked in there -- far better! The cab driver said the neighborhood around the Courtyard has a lot of bars and night clubs, and there is a fight almost every night, and a lot of noise late. There is no meal service there, and the desk refers guests to the iHop. Honestly don't know why Marriott tolerates such a property. Avoid!!     Comfortable room, great location and value for money

    Staying in a 1 bedroom suite (couple plus teen) on the 9th floor facing Kuhio St for 8 nights. The room is clean and a good size, there’s a narrow long balcony and the bed is very comfortable. The fold out couch in the living room does the job as a second bed. There’s a a Smart TV in the bedroom as well as living room, and small conveniences like usb points. The hotel free wifi is appreciated. Aircon in both the living room and bedroom. There are basic kitchen facilities, including a bar fridge, microwave and coffee maker although I’d prefer a standard kettle to boil water. While two disposable coffee cups are provided I’d prefer a few more basic kitchen facilities like coffee cups, cutlery, plates/bowls/glasses. The bathroom is good/standard with a shower over bath, however the water pressure to the bath/shower/basin is very low. Light cleaning is provided every two days, with a full clean on the fourth day. The hotel pool and bar is lovely and the location is great. Everything you need on your doorstep and just a short walk down to Waikiki beach. There is street noise, but not so much that it’s disrupted our sleep. It’s an older hotel with fresh modern furnishings. It’s not of a high-end luxury standard, but for value for money it’s great and I’d definitely recommend it as a good option when staying in Waikiki.     Do not go to this hotel, extreme road noise

    Road noise is extremely high all night, worst hotel I have stayed in. Do not stay else you will be awake all night.     Worst Marriott Experience I’ve Had

    This place is a joke. I waited 4.5 hours to check in and nobody told me early check-in was even an option. After waiting more than 4 hours, they told me the room reserved for me was gone. The front desk staffs were rude and had a bad attitude, talking to me like I was the problem and asking me what I wanted in a very aggressive way.The room was even terrible with zero soundproofing that you can hear EVERYTHING. AC leaks water and blows cold air straight at your head. You can’t control any of the modes. The fridge is insane, it only cools if you press a button and it works for two hours max. Any food you put inside will go bad.Marriott app doesn’t work for check-in. No daily housekeeping either. This does NOT feel like a Marriott hotel at all. For the price, especially compared to other hotels around Waikiki, this place is absolutely not worth it. Staying here is stressful and frustrating. Would never stay here again.     We stayed in Courtyard for 3 days, didnt have any amenities, and asked for extra pillows on our first night and said that they were going to deliver but did not and had to call again the next day to get pillows.
