GOOD STAY!
21 May 2026
Stayed here for 3 nights for business.Pros:Great location – in the heart of Waikiki. Everything is less than a 10 minute walk away, including the beach.Target and the International Market Place about a 6-7 minute walk away.Plenty of restaurants, dessert places, etc. nearby.Friendly staff – I have to give a shoutout to the young lady (who said she was a manager) working the nightshift when I checked in on Tuesday night. It was past 10pm and she was the only one working the desk and a handful of people waiting. She was very patient and friendly and was as efficient as possible.Decent room – based on reviews, I did not have high expectations but the room was actually pretty good. First, it was quiet which was great because I got a good night’s sleep. There was one night where I had some party-goers outside and some cars revving their engines, so I would recommend bringing earplugs. However, the A/C worked great, and I had a nice, partial view of the ocean from the balcony (stayed on 14th floor). Did not hear anything from nearby guests or rooms.Good pool and gym – felt clean.Free water and ice dispenser in the lobby.Cons:Short staffed – 2 staff at front desk in the evenings would be helpful. This is a busy hotel for not only being in Waikiki, but I saw airline staff and cruise staff staying here too.The room did feel a little muggy at times when turned off, so I would recommend keeping the A/C on at all times. The shower took a while for hot water to come out. And it was never hot, more like warm.I would stay here again in the future, mostly because I tempered my expectations and understand that you won’t be getting a 5-star hotel unless you pay $1K a night. The hotel did it’s job and a small word of advice to visitors is to remember “Hawaii time” as it will apply to mostly everything you experience there. So be patient and enjoy the good times. General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach, responded to this review Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us, Cheveretk. We are truly grateful you chose Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach for your business trip and took the time to highlight both the high points and areas where we can do more. It is wonderful to hear our location made your stay easier and that your room felt peaceful and comfortable, especially for catching up on sleep after long days.Your thoughtful feedback about our team at the front desk, especially the manager covering late arrivals, is especially appreciated. We know how important patience and a welcoming atmosphere are after a busy travel day. We also appreciate your candid notes about challenges, from the occasional wait at check-in to your room's A/C and shower temperature. These details are essential and our Guest Relations, Engineering, and Housekeeping teams will use your insights to help us keep improving.Your advice on embracing "Hawaii time" is spot on—we hope every guest leaves us with good memories and a little more patience. Thank you again for staying with us, and we would love to welcome you back the next time you are in Waikiki.

The worst courtyard ever!
16 May 2026
We booked one night to be closer to the airport. We came from staying at the Kahala for a week. Notwithstanding the Kahala this was the most rinky dink courtyard I’ve ever stayed at. Where to begin:We were given a “penthouse “ room. The balcony was shared with the other rooms where anyone could look into our room. In the bathroom there were no amenities, just a single bar of soap. The towels were so thin they might as well be made of paper. There was a coffee maker with powdered cream. There was a meager place on the lobby floor to get “breakfast “. The staff was pathetic and unresponsive. I can’t think of a worse place I’d ever stayed at.Under no circumstances should you stay here! General Manager, Guest Services / Front Office at Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed impressions with us, Linda. We are truly sorry that your experience did not reflect the quality and comfort our team aims to provide. The concerns you described with your guest room, bathroom amenities, and the service you encountered have been taken very seriously. Our housekeeping and Guest Relations teams will be reviewing what you shared to identify how we can better support our guests. We appreciate you letting us know about your stay, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from your experience.
