This hotel stands at the centre of the Ala Wai yacht harbour and is just a short stroll to Ala Moana Center and 5 minutes' walking distance to the Hawaii convention centre, shopping facilities, sandy beaches and Waikiki. The distance to Honolulu airport is approximately 15 km.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 57 suites and 512 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     The Prince hotel is quite affordable yet clean and nice! The staff were kind and the pool was relaxing.Rooms: The rooms were very clean. The beds were quite comfortable and the curtains were helpful. You could adjust from dark to light easily. The restrooms were also nice. There was a Toto toilet (warm seat) and a shower/bath. Pool: The pool was relaxing and fun. Children have fun diving and swimming in the water. It is the opposite of chaotic, though. There is also a hot tub. Adults can lay in the hot tub and relax.Food: The food was delicious. They had a wide variety (although they did not have a kids menu) of foods and for breakfast, they had a lovely buffet.Harbor: Thee Prince hotel is behind a harbor. There are many beach’s you can walk to as well.Overall: The Prince Waikīkī is a wonderful hotel!

    A Haunted Anniversary and the Ghost of Customer Service

    If you’re looking for a "special anniversary getaway" that doubles as a psychological experiment in sleep deprivation, the Prince Waikiki is the place for you. For everyone else, stay far, far away.The "Poltergeist" ExperienceWe checked into Room 920 looking forward to a rare, restful night away from our children. Instead, we were treated to a high-tech nightmare. Starting at 11:00 PM and continuing until 4:30 AM, the electronic blinds decided to have a life of their own, opening and closing every 20 to 30 minutes.Imagine trying to sleep while your room rhythmically exposes you to the city lights and the mechanical whirring of possessed window treatments all night long. It wasn’t a "stay"; it was an endurance test.Logic Has Left the BuildingWhen I finally called the front desk at 6:00 AM—shattered and exhausted—the "solution" offered was almost more insulting than the broken room. They asked if I wanted to move rooms.Let’s look at the logic: After being kept awake for five and a half hours, the hotel’s grand idea was for us to pack our bags, get dressed, and migrate across the building just to get two hours of sleep before checkout. It is an inexplicable suggestion that reeks of a script rather than actual human problem-solving.The "AI" School of ManagementThe post-stay communication was the final nail in the coffin. I reached out to management, hoping for a shred of empathy for our ruined anniversary. Instead, I received what can only be described as a canned, robotic response from the Director of Front Office, Noah Goss.The Compensation: They "generously" refunded a bar charge and parking—roughly $83. Meanwhile, they kept the hundreds of dollars we paid for a room that failed to provide its one basic function: a place to sleep.The Gaslighting: Management claimed they "acted promptly" by offering that 6:00 AM room move. To claim that offering a move after the sun comes up constitutes a "meaningful opportunity to rebuild trust" is laughable.Final Verdict for LocalsAs Hawaii residents, we know what true Aloha spirit looks like, and it isn’t found in Room 920. We hired a babysitter and cleared our schedules for a "restful" experience, only to return home more exhausted than when we left.If you value your sleep, your money, or being treated like a human being rather than a nuisance, do not stay here. The Prince Waikiki seems more interested in protecting its bottom line than fixing its haunted hardware or taking care of its guests.Bottom line: A $23 parking refund doesn't make up for a sleepless anniversary. Take your business to a hotel that understands basic hospitality.

    I would like to take a moment to express my sincere thanks and appreciation not only to the hotel, but also to the staff. I would especially like to recognize a Room Attendant who assisted me without hesitation.I had initially asked a Concierge if they could help me request a scale or direct me to someone who could assist, but unfortunately, I was unable to get any help at that time. On my way back to my room, I noticed a Room Attendant cleaning. His name was Akakai (my apologies if I’ve misspelled it).I asked if he could assist me in requesting a scale for my room, and without any hesitation, he immediately offered to help. He assured me that he would have one sent to my room, and I truly appreciate his promptness and willingness to assist.Within less than 10 minutes, the scale was delivered to my room. I am very grateful for his excellent service and kindness.Thank you again for such a positive experience.

    Upon arrival, we were greeted by Server Willene with a genuine smile, eye contact, and she addressed us by name. She was very attentive without intruding during our meal. What was most impressive was her attention and care for the guest tables that weren't in her section that needed assistance unconditionally. Willene is the reason we recommend people we know, love, and trust to patronize 100 Sales at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. Willene also invited us to the happy Happy Hour from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and provided us with a review of the menu. We can't wait to bring friends to experience the amazing ambience, food, and exceptional hospitality from Willene. When we departed, she wished us a fond farewell, making us feel VALUED, APPRECIATED, AND SPECIAL.
