This standard hotel is located close to the “gateway” to Waikiki, just 3 blocks from the nearest beach. It is approximately 15 km to Honolulu airport.

    Sorry but the 14th floor hotel room was severely dated and had hair still all over the bathroom, bed was not comfortable and sheets had holes in them. Door to room, had no security feature outside of the deadbolt. A/C vents cannot be adjusted and even us hardy Canadians from Manitoba were cold.....no extra blankets in the room to assist. We were all to happy to only have to stay one night before we moved on with our trip.

    When you stay you should check with the front desk because they start cleaning the rooms early, if you have a sign they still intrude like knocking on the door, so when they do don't answer or you can tell them come back in an hour Roy Shimabuku, Guest Services / Front Office at Waikiki Malia, responded to this review Please know that a review of our customer service standards has been done to ensure our guests do not have a similar experience.     location was very convenient for my visit purpose. The beach and conveneint store was walking distance, the restuarants were right next door or close enought to walk to.     Very good cost vs. benefit. Excellent location, close to the beach (5-10 min walk), restaurants, stores and to the bus stops. If we knew beforehand, we would have used the public transportation to get there, it is very convenient. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pool is very small, though, we used it only one day and it was the only part we didn’t like.     Good Location to bus line and shopping

    Location good close to hop on buses. Rooms missing normal stuff no coffee pot, no Microwave and no restaurant on site. Good room service . Oh also pool area very small only has a 3 and 4 1/2 ft. small jacuzzi more less for a child, other than that it's Ok.
