    Poor Resort

    rating11 Jun 2026

Let me start off with this resort is massive!!! If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with your family and kids this is NOT the resort to be at. You will see accommodations of a tram like vehicle or boat to get to different locations advertised. This is Not the case. The tram will come by every 45 minutes if you are lucky. The boat was NEVER out not even once. Next, I asked for 4 towels for my family the day we intended to enjoy the day and I went to the front desk and they said there were no towels available and did not proceed to even call or ask the house keeping department and was told to check with valet. Next, I checked with valet they stated no towels were avaliable did not even attempt to check or address house keeping. I then checked multiple towers for towels none to be found nor any staff member to assist. I then had to go to Walmart to purchase towels on my vacation. For a resort of this size they do NOT have the staff or needed items to run this resort efficiently. Also, I asked the front desk how often house keeping attends to the room and not once did house keeping come. Once again I needed to take out trash from our room and attempt to locate items needed like towels on vacation. I will not ever return to a Hilton property ever. I advise families especially with children to look else where for a relaxing and well kept resort. The Hilton is not it.

    Great potential very disappointing experience

    rating09 Jun 2026

This is our second visit to this resort, and our last visit was back in 2010. We came expecting the same world-class resort experience we remembered, but instead found a property that feels like it has been in decline for years. For a 62-acre resort, the lack of amenities is shocking. The boats are no longer running, there is only a single train operating, and most nights there is only one restaurant open for dinner. The dining options are extremely limited, the menu is very basic, and there are very few accommodations for dietary restrictions. My wife is gluten-free, and finding suitable options has been far more difficult than it should be at a resort of this caliber. The property itself still has beautiful surroundings, but it feels like management is cutting back at every opportunity. What was once a vibrant destination now feels understaffed, underinvested, and focused more on reducing costs than creating a great guest experience. This simply is not the same resort we remember from 2010, and it’s disappointing to see how far it has declined. General Manager, General Manager at Hilton Waikoloa Village, responded to this review Aloha Ritchey Peck,Thank you for returning and for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your recent experience did not live up to the memories you and your family carried from your previous visit. We understand your disappointment regarding the changes you've observed over the years, particularly with transportation options and accommodations for dietary needs. While our canal boat service has been discontinued, our air-conditioned trams are fully operational, and guests may also enjoy our museum walkway featuring nearly 1,800 pieces of art connecting the resort's many attractions. We regret that these alternatives did not provide the same experience you remembered. We also appreciate your comments regarding dining variety and gluten-free options, as providing a broader range of choices for all guests is important to us. While our resort continues to offer unique experiences including the four-acre saltwater lagoon, pools with waterslides, cultural activities, oceanfront dining, and ongoing enhancements to our guest accommodations, we recognize that your experience fell short of expectations. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership team as we continually evaluate ways to improve and deliver the memorable experiences our guests deserve. Mahalo for your candid feedback.Kind regards,Resort Management

    buyer beware

    rating08 Jun 2026

third day here and no sign of housekeeping. ran out of towels. coffee is awful and coffee maker is supposed to make two cups but only makes one. iron quit halfway through a shirt. refrigerator cupboard door is hanging by one hinge and the fridge freezes everything. there is no glassware only paper cups. no cutlery. valet parking is $55 a day. breakfast is the same, per person. beach is on lagoon not ocean. pool is a long walk with stairs. bus to shopping is $5. i do not understand why they call this place a hilton. this place is not even up to 3 star standards. Nicholas Kuhns, Owner at Hilton Waikoloa Village, responded to this review Aloha Yasmin,Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback from your most recent Waikoloa visit. I sincerely apologize that your experience was not up to the service expectations we strive for each day. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly on how I can make this right. Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,(With Warmest Aloha)Nicholas KuhnsGeneral ManagerNicholas.Kuhns@Hilton.com

Fantastic resort with beautiful views including dolphins onsite!

    rating08 Jun 2026

What a fantastic resort with beautiful views, several pools, an amazing lagoon, dolphins onsite, multiple dining options, close proximity to shopping/dining, plus lots of activities available onsite. We stayed in the Makai tower and our oceanfront view was spectacular---plus, we could watch the dolphins swimming in the lagoon from our balcony. Our room was well equipped and clean, and the grounds were well kept. It's a huge resort and we loved getting our steps in every morning walking the grounds and enjoying the views. It's also about a mile walk to a grocery store, so we were able to get some snacks and drinks to keep in our room and enjoy at the pool. The service was great everywhere in the resort. Our favorite place was the Lagoon Grill where we could eat while watching the dolphins swim. Nicholas Kuhns, Owner at Hilton Waikoloa Village, responded to this review Aloha Jilann, Mahalo for your thoughtful review. We were overjoyed to hear that you had an overall positive experience on your most recent Waikoloa visit and we truly appreciate your comments regarding our resorts breathtaking views, food & beverage offerings and our Makai Tower room accommodations. I will share your feedback with our team, and we look forward to you staying with us again in the future. Me Ke Aloha Pumehana,(With Warmest Aloha)Nicholas KuhnsGeneral Manager
