  The first night I was up until 4am because the guest next to me was outside my window smoking, coughing, spitting and blowing his nose onto the ground. Front desk called the guy, but nothing was done. Next morning I asked for a different room which they reluctantly gave me. Water pressure in both showers was barely a drizzle. Showers took a long time! Place was not clean, microwave didn’t look safe, breakfast was a joke. Bed was so loud it woke me up several times just rolling over. Ice machine didn’t work.   Good value for money. The + : room was clean and sheet were arranged everyday. Towels were also changed every day. The bed and pillow were confortable. The location is ok to navigate Houston. Free Coffee for breakfastThe staff will do their best to find a solution to your problem. We booked a smoking room without noticing (for us, such a thing did not exist), they found a non smoking room for us. Unfortunately the non smoking room smelled smoke... they offered to switch room the next day since the hotel was packed. The - : the flat got wet because a bad air flux in the bedroom. Make sure to let the air machine works enough time in the bathroom. The air conditionning can also be noisy.For the price, we were happy. Be careful not to book a room for smoker if you don t smoke...   Bizarre and sticky situation

  Terrible from the start. I booked my room and paid in full. My credit card was charged but I never received a confirmation number. I called the hotel and the man with a foreign accent actually yelled at me screaming that I had no reservation there. I managed to get my credit card company involved and they said the hotel did charge my acct and they told me to show up, and if I was denied a room, they would cancel the non-refundable payment. I showed up and had to wait 1 1/2 hours while the man who’d yelled at me argued with my credit card company about a “deposit code”. After several hours and severe stress dealing with this bizarre man and situation I was finally allowed into a room to rest for my pending surgery the next morning.About the actual room… the sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, the mattress was uncomfortable, and the floor was so nasty and sticky that my feet actually stuck to it.I would definitely not book this place again.   Great NIGHTS IN THE MED CENTER
