Location

This family-friendly business hotel is located halfway between the Galleria Mall (10-minute drive) and Downtown Houston, near Greenway Plaza, Houston Medical Center (5 minutes) and Arena Theater. Guests staying at the hotel can go and watch the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Houston Astros, Houston Texans and Houston Rockets. Reliant Park is a 10-minute drive and the Theatre District is 8 minutes by car.

Facility

354 rooms, including 105 single rooms and 203 double rooms, are located on 18 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a games console and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The daily newspaper is laid out for guests in the the rooms. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Guests can also book wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the sun terrace. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis and golf are available. Sport and leisure facilities at the hotel include a gym and aerobics.     My spouse and I traveled from San Diego to Houston to visit family. Our flight was delayed, causing our late night arrival at 10:30 PM, with check-in around 11:00 PM. We had booked a one-bedroom suite, but were given a two-bedroom suite, which wasn't what we paid for. The staff refused to accommodate this, claiming the third-party booking site indicated any room could be assigned. We also experienced neighbors attempting to open the connecting door, which was unsettling. After confirming the correct booking details with the third-party and providing an email to the front desk, my spouse attempted to request a room change, but was denied with the response, "Sorry, there is nothing we can do". Instead of checking the email, staff sent security at 2 AM to reprimand our neighbors, which resulted in them being loud throughout the night. We ultimately decided to stay one night and booked another hotel. Regarding cleanliness, once it was light outside, we noticed stains on the carpet and chair. The fridge had an unpleasant, old smell. The elevator was dirty and rundown, and the pool appeared closed with chairs piled up and black stains on the concrete. While I understand late-night check-ins can be difficult, we expected better service for the price paid. Many reviews, though somewhat hidden, mention similar observations about the hotel's atmosphere. The location is convenient, however, being near freeways and various dining and shopping options.     Me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel and were very unsatisfied. We didn’t get what we booked. We booked a bedroom with a kingsize bed and when we got there, they gave us a bedroom with two full size beds and said they couldn’t do anything about it. It was very unclean-and I will never be staying at this hotel again.It was super uncomfortable.     Stay here if you want personal things missing days before you leave.No running water on and off throughout my stay, sink water ran yellow, temperature was set to 64 and wasn’t adjustable. Parking garage elevator broke down, main hotel elevator broke down.Another guests things went missing a day after mine. Hotel staff answers with “I’m sorry there’s nothing else I can tell you” They ask you to leave a number to reach out to speak about the incident and you never get a call back.For long stays they don’t replace the sheets so if you spill something, you’ll be sleeping in stained sheets the rest of your stay.Cars got broken into, Hotel wipes their hands clean by posting a sign that says they are not responsible for damage to vehicles. Multiple thefts and surprisingly no cameras.     I had this confused with the hotel at Greenway Plaza so wasn’t the hotel I was expecting (my fault there) but it’s also not one I would recommend. For one the AC is not very good so if that’s important to you and you like a cold room, they (I believe anyway) have the AC governed so that you can’t truly control it. Guys when I want 65 degrees, I want 65 degrees. In this case, lowest it would go is 67 but in all honesty it’s more like 72 or 73 at that setting). Also the water is brown when on hot, though it eventually cleared out. Lastly, the “bar” which is part of their “restaurant” is bright like an IHOP. I asked the bar tender to dim the lights and she was like (with her can’t be bothered attitude) “it seems dim enough to me”. I’m like, a.) you’re not paying to be here, your guests are, and b.) dimming the lights will bring in more guests and sell way more alcohol. Like, how hard is for any establishment to understand. If it’s 8pm or later, we’re not here to eat waffles, ok, so DIM the **CKING lights please. The hotel doesn’t even deserve three stars. Whatever tired means they’re using to present as a nice location is phoned in and you can do better so don’t miss the chance to.     I would strongly caution against staying at this hotel and recommend choosing another property in the area instead.I booked a room a month in advance and am an IHG member with status, yet check-in took 15–20 minutes because the hotel had oversold my room type. I was placed in a different room with no option.The room had multiple issues: a leaking toilet that flooded the bathroom floor overnight, an uncomfortable sagging bed, stained towels on both days despite housekeeping, and a non-working in-room phone, which meant I couldn’t contact the front desk or housekeeping.After multiple inconveniences, I requested a one-hour late checkout. This resulted in repeated back-and-forths with the front desk (Kristin and Lola) and ultimately only a 15-minute extension. Despite that, housekeeping knocked on my door three times within minutes asking if I was checking out, which forced me to leave early.Even finding the room was frustrating—8th-floor signage was confusing, pointed in the wrong direction, and some doors lacked clear numbering.Overall: poor maintenance, poor communication, and no meaningful service recovery.
