Location

The hotel is located near Houston Medical Center, the museum district, Reliant Park and the downtown theatre district, within walking distance of the Metro Light Rail with fast and easy transport connecting to downtown and other destinations. There is a free shuttle service to Houston Galleria Mall.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 287 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Further services include a 24-hour security service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. All rooms are carpeted and have a double bed, a queen-size bed, a king-size bed or a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A desk is provided.     I stayed here for four nights while attending medical appointments, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend this location. The nightly rates are high, yet the hotel continues to nickel-and-dime its guests. The Downsides: Parking Stress: You must pay a daily fee to park, but finding a space is incredibly difficult. The lot is small and shared with non-guests who pay daily rates. Breakfast Upselling: The breakfast buffet is $10 per day, but only if you prepay for every single day of your stay. Otherwise, it jumps to $20 per day. No Free Coffee: There is no complimentary coffee available in the lobby, and the options they do have lack flavored creamers. Overwhelmed Staff: The front desk team appeared overwhelmed and understaffed during check-in and check-out. The Positives: Great Restaurant Staff: The restaurant crew was very friendly, and the food was decent. Clean and Quiet: The property itself was clean, and the room was quiet enough to get a good night's rest. Overall, the high price tag does not match the value provided. Next time, I will look for a hotel that treats its guests with more hospitality.
