You get (maybe) what you pay for and not sliver more.

    rating17 Mar 2026

$125 a night for an $80 a night room. 3rd floor & no elevator. No exercise room. No breakfast except coffee. But the room was clean and the bed sufficiently comfortable. ESA GM, General Manager at Extended Stay America - Houston - Med. Ctr. - Greenway Plaza, responded to this review Dear Guest, We appreciate your honest comments about your stay. While we are pleased to know that you found the room clean and the bed comfortable, we regret that other aspects of your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Your concerns regarding the pricing, lack of elevator, and limited amenities such as breakfast and exercise facilities are noted and will be reviewed as we continually work to improve our services. Guest feedback helps us identify areas where we can do better. We truly value your input and hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back.Sincerely,Hotel Management

Rude Petty Management Broken Beds Smelly Carpet

    rating12 Apr 2025

I’ve been staying at the hotel for a few weeks now. I switched to a new room and was there for a few days when the bed broke. They immediately offered a new room which was nice. I told them that I had planned on extending my stay the next morning and upgrading to a king size bed and asked if they minded upgrading me then instead for the inconvenience. (the queen size mattresses I have experienced there are not very comfortable but for the price point my expectations are not very high) they said they would have to charge me and I declined to pay more and was willing to take another Queen room. I moved to the new room (without a cart to help me move my many things because “no cart was available”). I got to the new room and the bed was broken. I told the front desk and told them I just want a king room because I really just want a good bed at this point. The lady offered me the room and I thought she meant at no charge and I said ok but I asked to see the room before I once again had to move my things. She showed me the king room. It was far from an elevator and she offered to let me use the housekeeping cart to help move my things. I thought that would have been nice to offer when I just spent 45 minutes moving my stuff last time but I’ll accept the offer. Then we get to the front desk and I’m thinking she is just going to give me the key. Well she tried to charge me $5 and I told her things had been very inconvenient with all the room changing and I thought it should be free and she called her boss. The boss thought I could not hear him and I don’t think he realized I had already seen the king room. I know he didn’t know that I was so over it and was now willing to pay to $5 to upgrade but he told her not to give me what I was asking for and told her to tell me they don’t have any room to move me to. They didn’t offer any type of solution and just left me assigned to a room with a broken bed and lied and said they can’t do anything. The guy was also very rude to the employee over the phone. So overall the management treats the guests and the workers badly. I’m VERY disappointed with their SMELLY, old, broken lock having, lumpy mattress, get harassed in the parking lot by vagrants hotel. ESA GM, General Manager at Extended Stay America - Houston - Med. Ctr. - Greenway Plaza, responded to this review Dear B9931ZRandreaj,We sincerely apologize that your stay did not meet the standards you expected and that the challenges you encountered left you feeling frustrated. It is concerning that the issues with the accommodations, the repeated room changes, and the team's approach to resolving the situation contributed to your disappointment. We understand the inconvenience of having to relocate your belongings multiple times and the added frustration when the proposed upgrade did not result in an optimal solution. We take your feedback seriously and will ensure our team reviews these concerns and implements corrective measures. We are committed to providing outstanding service, and we hope you will give us another opportunity to show you our dedication.Sincerely,Hotel Management

It's OK for what it does, but needs deep cleaning and to buy an ice maker.

    rating14 Sept 2024

I have stayed with this place before, even though I don't like it. It's in the right place for my needs. They don't charge a lot, and the customer doesn't get a lot. The desk staff was courteous and professional, but I know they only have so much they can work with. When I got to my room it was in working order. The bath enclosure had cracked in the bottom, and rather than replace it they had glued it up with RTV rubber. If they had put in a quality tub to begin with, they wouldn't be having this trouble. I know it won't stay sealed very long, if it's even sealed at the time. The most offensive thing about this place is no ice machine. The guest gets two empty ice trays in their full-size refrigerator. Additionally the refrigerator doors hinge on the wrong side, making the door difficult to open. They are reversible, and someone needs to reverse them. The entry lock on the sleeping room door was cranky and problematic. Sometimes it took 3 tries to get it to open. Their vending machine refused to dispense soda twice, at which time the desk agent used cash instead of credit cards (known good) and it finally dispensed. I got the standard "we don't own this machine" disclaimer, which doesn't concern me at all as long as it's not taking money/refusing to dispense product. They claim to have breakfast in the mornings, but I have yet to see more than just coffee. There was nothing there at 9AM when I checked out. The pillows in the room were about as big as the head of a Q-tip, and I did ask them to supplement what was in the room. The bed was OK, and the towels were adequate, but I wouldn't call them fluffy. The guest gets one itty-bitty soap flake, and one microscopic bottle of shampoo. The wall outlet by the desk has no volts in it. Their wi-fi works OK, once the guest goes through quite a bit of coaxing to get it to authenticate. I didn't use the TV, range top or other cooking features, but the light in the range hood was burned out/didn't work.Generally speaking I'll choose a bit better grade brand than this, but there's nothing else close by that works for me. That other national brand just a block to the West was so horrible I committed I'm not going back there. This place has free/easy parking, and I've never had any trouble with leaving my car there over night. ESA GM, General Manager at Extended Stay America - Houston - Med. Ctr. - Greenway Plaza, responded to this review Dear Arnold,Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We apologize for the various issues you encountered, particularly regarding maintenance and cleanliness issues. We would also like to inform you that fresh linens and towels, along with any toiletries, are available at the front desk. Additionally, we're disappointed that our breakfast was not to your liking. We will address each of your comments with our team. We hope you will give us a chance to provide you with the hospitality you deserve on a future visit. Thank you again for your feedback.Sincerely,Hotel Management

Here for my dad in St. Lukes

    rating06 Dec 2021

The rooms are clean and not too bad. I had a quick check-in as I has reservations. The bed was clean and comfortable. My only complaints are…it took 3-4 minutes before the water in the shower got hot, but I can understand that it takes a minute to get to the room, the free breakfast wasn’t much, oatmeal, granola bars, blueberry muffins, coffee/tea or hot coco. No fruits no milk or orange juice, no toast. And the last thing is no dishes in the rooms. I guess I can understand that because people will steal them. But other than the breakfast (which was sad) my stay is decent. If you are on a budget this place isn’t so bad. Just do like I did, go buy a few groceries because eating out can get expensive.(I would give 5 stars if the breakfast had been more than a snack with beverages other than coffee/tea and hot coco… not everyone (including me) drinks coffee or tea and hot coco is a cold weather beverage.)
