Excellent staff. Good quality. Minor issues.

    rating23 Mar 2026

Just had another good stay at this hotel. Our usual staff were excellent and they've added a new guy who seems really nice. Food prep staff have changed too. The lady who replenishes breakfast was very nice. Room 144 this time has a nice view of the courtyard. Ground floor, so it was super easy to get to and from the car. Room was ready early which I appreciate. I drive or fly in from Dallas, usually pretty early and go to my office. When the room is ready before three, I can take lunch from work and get into the room to unpack and settle in. A few times during the stay, I received a text on my Hilton app asking how everything was. I appreciate that attentiveness too. Room was super clean and quiet. I have really only 3 complaints and they aren't new (see prior reviews).1. The hotel continues to charge for parking. Really...not sure why. There's no security after dark. There are new cameras recording license plates as you drive in, but only in the front of the property. If you park in the back, your car is still susceptible to breaks in without much anyone can do except report the loss to your auto insurer. Also, this is a suburban hotel, next to apartment complexes and a hospital. Not urban at all. No lack of parking space. The Marriott Courtyard next door also charges, but the Residence Inn by Marriott across the street does not. I feel like Hilton just wants that extra $4 a night. I'd rather be charged a higher room rate instead of making me feel like I'm paying for nothing. I'm glad my employer reimburses me. I feel badly for those not traveling for work. 2. Food. And I really hate to complain about this. The staff work hard to make sure everyone has what they need. But the food just doesn't taste good. Dark roast coffee is good. But beyond coffee and pre-packaged yogurt and a bagel with cream cheese, there's just not much else that tastes good. On day 1, I did have a biscuit with jam. That was good. But eggs and sausage continue to disappoint. Eggs are either watery or rubbery. Waffles used to be ok, but now, the new waffle makers produce a very thin waffle. 3 of these new waffles would equal the thickness of the old waffle maker waffle. Homewood Suites by Hilton in Texas has changed up their breakfast model to include breakfast tacos. Not an everyday option for me personally, but it's good every few days for sure. Tru by Hilton pride themselves on pancakes and lots of cereals with lots of topping options. It's time for Hampton to make a change to their breakfast.3. Ice machines. My goodness, I've been staying here for over a year every 6-8 weeks. I get my steps in, walking from floor to floor looking for a working ice machine. This trip, I was on floor 1. Only 1 working machine on floor 4. So Hampton Inn & Suites manager. It's time to purchase new machines. I don't know if these machines break down and you're waiting on parts, or maybe I'm just unlucky and machines are breaking down right before I arrive. But each and every trip has become a comical search for ice. Look at Tru by Hilton. Their machines seem to always work. And, they have filtered water built in. I know it seems like my review is more complaints than good, but this is a really good property. Excellent staff, good location. and I enjoy staying here. Believe me, I could stay at closer properties to my office, but I choose to stay at this location because it's by far better than most. The hotel is consistent (good and bad) and compares to most other Hampton Inn & Suites. But it's the staff at this property that blow all others away.

    Good stay with minor issues.

    rating11 Aug 2025

I like the staff at this hotel. Bridgett and Vincento at the front desk are awesome. I fell at the back door on a trip here about 2 months ago. Vincento got some bandages for me and took care of me until I could get to a pharmacy. Bridgett is super nice and funny. I had some maintenance issues with the tv on arrival. I chatted on the Hilton Honors app and maintenance was in my room repairing the dish network quickly. The maintenance guy was super nice. Just a couple of minor issues: Ice machines on levels 1 and 2 still do not work. This has been an ongoing issue for some months. You will need to go to floor 3 or 4 for ice. Room 141, the window shade on one window is missing. Morning sun will wake you up. Room 141, mattress is saggy in the middle. Time to replace it. Breakfast bar waffle makers have been replaced with new models, but the waffles are now so super thin. It's weird. Breakfast has always been an issue at this property. Just not very good. Eggs are super weird. Either rubbery or watery and they don't taste good. Opt for yogurt and a blueberry bagel. Room 141, the air con had some vanilla wafers stuck down in the vents. If I were a kid, that's where I'd put my cookies too. Maintenance was working on a washer or dryer on my first day. 4 days later, the sign still showed that the laundry is out of order. I think there were some posts about car break ins. I did notice new solar cameras at the entrance of the hotel and new yellow gates blocking some incoming traffic. A Houston Police Dept vehicle sat outside my window on a Friday night at midnight with lights on for about an hour. Maybe just as a deterrent. I had no issues with vehicle break in, but I also did not park in the rear of the hotel. I don't believe there are cameras back there. Good stay. No serious issues.

    Unclean hotel

    rating02 Jul 2025

Stay clear if I could do less then 1 star I would. The carpets in the room were so dirty it left dirt on feet … by the time we realized I thought give them the benefit of of making it right… have them clean again in the morning. The thing that threw me over was the pool in the morning the black alge we seen after getting in the pool was crazy! Could not get out fast enough !! I talked to hotel staff and sweet lady said GM is here let me talk to her … We paid with points and I requested them back and was assured by the front desk gal that they would be given back. And the GM that didn’t feel it necessary to come talk to me is now not giving them back because we stayed one night … From my understanding, Hampton or Hilton in general has a satisfaction guaranteed Anyway here is my trip review pay the extra somewhere else its not worth saving a few bucks

    Really good change

    rating26 Apr 2025

After two not so great stays, I decided to stay again in March. The price was too good to pass up. No issues at all. The staff were great. My digital app worked as it was designed to do. I checked in, used my digital key and had a good stay. I got a notice on my app as I changed the credit card from the pre-pay to the deposit card to visit the front desk. I was nearby so I stopped at the front desk. The lady was super nice, took my new card and checked me in. I had to wait a few minutes to see if the room I selected was ready, and she called and let me know it was. There might be a new manager at this property. The change in attitude from staff and the friendliness was unlike anything I've experienced here before. I have to say the housekeeping staff is really good at this hotel. The only maintenance issue was carpet that was fraying in the middle of the room.

    Not again.....

    rating11 Jun 2024

They did it again. I booked a king room with sofa bed. They 'downgraded' my reservation and put me in a small king room with a chaise. No space at all. I told the front desk guy who said he didn't know they had king rooms with sofas except for the suites. I told him I stayed here in March and a few other times before that. This is the second time someone has messed with the reservation after I booked. I won't stay here again and urge you to look elsewhere.
