  Good Budget Friendly Hotel

  Budget friendly hotel with no frills or perks. Clean. Comfortable. Rooms were typical size for a Hampton Inn. Older hotel and in need of some updating but maintained well enough. Easily accessible location. Parking was safe and convenient. No complaints.   Worst experience ever!

  Just had one of the worst hotel experiences ever at Hampton Inn Houston Near the Galleria.I arrived early due to my flight and was met with rudeness from the front desk staff. I wasn’t allowed to sit in the lobby, wasn’t offered any help, and was told to leave the property entirely—even as a young woman traveling alone at 2AM. When I asked questions, the staff walked away mid-conversation.As a Hilton Honors member, I expected basic hospitality: a safe place to wait, respectful communication, and compassion. Instead, I was treated like a problem. I had to scramble to find another hotel in the middle of the night.Hilton, do better.   Safe and great place to stay.

  Stayed here for 5 nights to visit family in the area. I was told prior to coming to Houston that car break-ins are common. It is nice that this hotel has a gated parking... it does cost $30 a day (which is average)Pros:Hospitality: Great. I arrived at 2am and they were there to greet me and check me in. No issuesCleanliness: Room was clean and had no issues with the bath or tv'sBreakfast: Good selection and changes everyday. Coffee is available all dayLocation. Easy access to the highway and to all the spots I needed to go toGym: Minimal but everything works. Used the treadmill and ellipticalParking: Gated but $30 a day, which seems to be the norm in the areaCons:Pool: Outside and tiny. We didn't use it but did take a look. Guest: Not the Hotel's fault but there were several guests that smelled of Pot. Elevator had the smell but not the hallways (so I assume it's when guests are coming in) I don't condone the use but when you have kids you have to be aware. Conclusion: Will I come back. Yes. The hotel was pleasant and staff was courteous.   This hotel needs a major update. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The furniture was damaged. The toilet ran the entire time we were there even after we reported it to the front desk. We have been disappointed in the last few Hamptons we have stayed in. No more Hampton Inns for us.   Great room, loved the bed,, loved the pillows, felt safe, had plenty of towels, was near everything, there is Target just down the street, the staff was friendly and organized, everything was clean… great experience, would definitely return!
