  Exceptional Hospitality Near Bush Airport

  I stay at IHG hotels often, and the Holiday Inn Houston NE – Bush Airport Area is one of the best. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you need. What really sets it apart is General Manager Trevor Fromm. He goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome, and his professionalism and warmth truly make a difference. If you’re visiting Houston, this hotel and Trevor’s team make it an easy choice, I’ll definitely be back!   Nice place to stay in the area.

  The greeting was warm and friendly. The room was clean, furnishings in order, walk-in shower was great! Could’ve used more coffee pods or free coffee in the lobby in the morning. There is construction in the area so give yourself time for travel.   BE VERY WARY when booking this Holiday Inn and don't trust them !!!! Even when booking the dearer "free cancellation, pay later" rate they still take money from your credit card, even when you cancel 3 months before the stay 🤬🤬I have now been trying for over 6 months to get my money back, which is such a simple thing to do - refund to the credit card on file - multiple phone calls, emails and even with a case number, no one at Holiday Inn or IHG wants to do anything to return the money wrongfully taken.   Great location, the shuttle may be problematic.

  The rooms were very clean and there is lots of free parking. There is a restaurant / bar which we tried a couple of times and the food was good. The bar staff were also friendly and the breakfast pretty good.The hotel is situated perfectly for transit via IAH so would recommend for everything except the shuttle service. The policy they adopt for this is to pick up or take people to the airport either on the hour or on the half hour. In theory my understanding is you can arrive in IAH, and, if it falls awkwardly you could, in theory be waiting 45 minutes for a shuttle.This policy is contrary to what is stipulated on the IHG website. I tried to discuss this with two of the ladies on reception but got nowhere.There is a lot of issues associated with which terminals you are going to. Don’t ask for terminals D or E, as they took us to C and tell you they are all the same, they are not.Very hard work dealing with the shuttle, drivers were fine though.   Understaffed and Unempowered

  One of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. No compassion and complete lack of service orientation that’s clearly from the top down. Main issue was I had trouble getting a needed pillow and blanket after hours (10:30 PM). I had a very sick kid- fever, vomiting and we needed to make a new bed for his sister in the floor. The front desk attendant was short staffed and refused to help me get a blanket and pillow stating “housekeeping is locked and I’m here alone” despite knowing the reason I needed it. He was clearly very stressed and understaffed and cited the company’s “rules”. Also this hotel was initially going to charge us $40 for checking in early (they did waive it because of my sick kid, very reluctantly). I hope this is not a new trend in hotels but I’m afraid it will be to maximize profits. While I understand it on one hand, I’ve never received a discount for early check out or a late check in. Seems fair right? Dear hotel chains- if you value your clients and a room is ready, give it to them. It’s a minimum standard of service. And please don’t lock housekeeping after hours making it impossible to care for clients. Your “rules” and your staffing levels have cost you my business. I’ve never been treated like this at any of the Marriott chains which is where I’ll be staying in the future.
