GO ACROSS PARKING LOT TO HOLIDAY INN

    rating28 Oct 2024

This place was horrid. Dirty would be a complement to this place. The only thing that was presentable was the receipt she gave me when I checked in. I purchased two rooms for my family. Both rooms had cigarette burns in the covers, the microwave in one room still had a cup of beef flavored noodles inside. The other room smelled like mildew when you turned on the AC. The little kitchen in my room was broken and disassembled. I had to get my key reprogrammed about 6 times because the door would show green but wouldnt open. I have been to multiple Hometowne Studios but this was by far the worst establishment i have ever stayed at PERIOD. Then when I brought the concerns to the lady at the desk I was met with deaf ears. So we left and went next door the Holiday Inn. Didn't care that it cost me about 800 dollars( 300 for them and 500 for the new rooms) , I refused to have my kids sleep there. Took reservations but hotel was closed

    rating17 Aug 2024

A hurricane hit Houston in early July and my uncle, who's in a wheelchair, did not have electricity. I searched online and this hotel showed availability. I called to book the reservation because I wanted to make sure the room would be wheelchair accessible. The person on the phone spent a lot of time getting the reservation set up and then informed me they won't take a third party payment (I couldn't pay for my uncle since I wasn't staying in the room). I explained that he didn't have a credit card and he needed a place to stay since his house was hot. They suggested calling the hotel directly (I had called the number on their website, but they gave me a different number) or booking online. Nobody answered when I called, but since the website showed availability, I booked online. I got my uncle an Uber and they drove him the 9.3 miles to the hotel - and it was CLOSED. My uncle called me and I had to book a return trip to his house. So we're out nearly $60 and it was a waste of his time (though he got to sit in an air-conditioned car for an hour).I know times were difficult because the hurricane had hit, and it's reasonable that they would be without power and need to be closed. But how hard would it have been to put a message on their phone and turn off the reservations on their site? They had to know that people were desperate to find a hotel room, and I'm guessing he probably wasn't the only one who ran into this issue. Madison Velian, Marketing at Hometowne Studios Houston - West Oaks/ Energy Corridor, responded to this review Thank you for taking a moment to leave a review, Eric. The staff and I at the HOMETOWNE STUDIOS HOUSTON - WEST OAKS were disappointed to see your 1/5 score. You indicated that you had booked a reservation for your uncle online which showed available but when he got there it was unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience you faced and misunderstandings with the availability of the room. Please know that we value you as our guest and appreciate your business. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with an even better stay the next time you‘re in the area. Very truly yours, Sharma Red Roof Management RediResponse Specialist

Horrible & Noisy and very Scary

    rating09 May 2019

I wouldn't recommend anyone decent, to stay in this hotel. It's best suited for prostitutes, gang banger, druggies, and drifters. I could not get any rest at all, there were people standing outside near my door yelling down to the parking lot. Children were running and playing until dark. There wasn't a remote control to the TV, and I am happy I had a cellphone because it was not one included. I HAVE NEVER BEEN this displeased in a hotel. I was afraid to go out and get anything to eat. The restaurants even stop delivering here early. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!

    Sketchy

This was the strangest hotel I've ever stayed in; and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. It wasn't gross necessarily, but definitely a place that you only make one trip from your car to your room and would put something up against the door to ensure no intruders. We stayed for 4 nights and we never once had a housekeeper visit, let alone did we see one on the premises at all. However, we did see the police every night.
