    I am writing to voice my concerns and disappointment regarding this rental. 1.) The pictures of this room are definitely not accurate on the site. There was wallpaper peeling off the walls. We arrived at 430PM the day before the Seminar. We were in the room until 1045PM to get it looking professional and put together for our seminar. We had to go to the store to purchase items to hang up to cover this up the best we could. We had to place our banners strategically to cover these things on the walls as well. There were no table covers/tablecloths. This should be standard with any meeting room rental. The cleaning crew gave us some white sheets to help cover the tables, however there were not enough. The staff called us while we were at the store to tell us that they had borrowed some from another hotel. So, we chose not to buy white sheets as planned. However, we arrived in the room the next morning to find that they were black, not white. We spent 2 hours ironing sheets the night before and another 30 minutes ironing on the morning of the event. 2.) The room was only set up with 13 chairs when it was made clear that we had a minimum of 20. My husband had to set up more tables and chairs. 3.) We were pre charged a $250 cleaning fee, however, the night before we had to clean the TV which was filthy, and the area for the coffee and water service for the next morning. We also had to wipe down every single table prior to set up.4.) The staff asked the morning of the event when we wanted coffee to be set up. We specifically said 0945. The coffee was not delivered to the room until 1010. The seminar started at 10AM.5.) Lunch arrived at the front desk. The staff did not instruct them to bring it to the meeting room, nor did they alert us of the arrival, so it just sat up there until I had to send my staff out of the seminar to check on the arrival or call the restaurant. The only positive is that the staff on the night of arrival helped us to the best of their abilities and tried to help accommodate the best they could. I chose this hotel since we had such a positive experience at the La Quinta in Dallas and were referred by that manager. We were here to represent a Global Business; your presentation is a reflection of our presentation. Unnecessary money was spent to make this look professional as well as create good representation of the company that I work with. Best Regards,Megan

    Best Stay Ever

    This is our second time to stay at the Katy Mills location and as always the customer service was exceptional. I was honored to see Vanessa still working there. She is so sweet and kind and went above and beyond to help get my parents settled in as well as ourselves. Our room was very clean as well as the hotel itself. We come to Katy often to visit family and will continue to choose La Quinta Katy Mills for our stay especially with employees like Vanessa.

    Food was not good, dirty towels, someone used soap in the shower, bad water pressure, broken chair in the room and everyday we had to have our key cards reactivated.

    What was ok - Free breakfast and parking, had an indoor pool for the winter, and the location (close to the mall and central in Katy)What was terrible - Don't expect to get service (we called 5 times across 2 days to get toilet paper and clean towels and never received them. We had to take these items from a cart), there were broken items in the room that could be easily fixed before customers arrive (the drain in the shower) - we had to kneel on the floor after every shower to drain the water, we were in Houston (which is humid) but the room smelled like mold, it took a while to get hot water and the internet was slow, breakfast should go longer on a holiday ( 10 instead of 9), the parking lot is small if the hotel is full, and the pool feels like you are in a prison pool. We did not expect to get a high-end resort or hotel experience, but a hotel should stay maintained and service (such as getting towels and toilet paper) should not be an issue. Customers should feel comfortable staying at a hotel like they feel at home, but this was not our experience.
